USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

Eerin would have to move over; Jaiden is particularly avoiding the Osokan melee.

('Fraid of that. Oh well. Hack away Eerin!)

Three snapped Quick Attacks on those stormtroopers.

The Duchess will attempt to fire again at Arvus, this time putting a Fortune point into her shot.

(Gone all day today. Assuming I survive, I'll retaliate the same way as before.)

Kyle gets another hit in, but it is he who is forced to retreat under Jaiden's heavy weapons fire.

-

In the city, Sasha uses Fortune agauinst Arvus, though that only works on one of the two rolls she makes, and that roll is a hit.

Arvus is trying to blow out the catapults via his heavy weapons, but he cannot see them; the catapults are not in direct line of site from the street. He can only blast at the building like the STs are.

The stormtrooper melee has cleared enough now for catapult fire to elp there also, and the STs strike out this round, not firing well.

-

The North wall is turning into a disaster; with Janthis' troops in melee the STs cannot readily help them. Janthis blasts pretty hard into an Osokan but the atttrition rate is high.

Eerin will move to attack Jaiden as vengeance for forcing Kyle to retreat.

The Duchess grins and puts off one last double-shot at Arvus, which will likely finish him.

Ok, time to call the results.

At the South Wall, the flood of Imperial troops up the wall will overwhelm the defenders, and Eerin is too pressed now to change that. The Imperials will take the walls!

Tactical Result: Imperial Victory. Battle odds shift to 2:1 to Imperials.

Inside the city, as Arvus runs for cover, the STs don't have much chance now (Coll's not unreasonable new orders for them have arrived late in the day). The Rebel ambust forces the Imperial force from these streets.

Tactical Result: Rebel Victory. Battle odds shift to 1: 2 to Rebels.

At the North wall, Janthis' troops are forced to withdraw under heavy fire. The walls are not bombed, though as there are no Rebel players present this simply concludes with no difference made.

"Good work, Ranad!" The Duchess shouts to her bodyguard as the last AT-ST falls. "We held!"

Do Ranad and Zalandos have their own Medicine skills? And does Zalandos need to be tended to?

Galahad heaves a sigh of relief once the results are in.

"This is good news for us, Drakkon," Galahad says. "They're exhausting their efforts, trying to get in. It seems we've lost the South Wall, however. Kyle and Eerin were overwhelmed by a stormtrooper commander's additional forces. The Imperials will try to take the starport, I'm sure."

"I doubt it," says Drakkon. "They'll have to kill every Osokan there before that sector falls."

How effective will our attack run be, Ush? Will we be able to wipe out an entire unit or just leave damage on one?

"If the results of the conflicts to the West and North are any indication," Galahd replies, "they will find that to be very difficult."

Galahad looks over the map.

"Why do you think they've let the East Wall alone?"

Alright I'm back.
Lets get this going again.
If there is nothing else to do in the air. (South wall sounds fine to me BTW)
I'll land and get back into the strategic situation.

TURN 3 RESULTS

-----

Result for Battle at the South Wall- Defenders Retreat (Retreat requirement cancelled)

Again, the Imperials get a solid foothold on the walls and try to move into the city, and again they cannot rout the defending troops and their position becomes untenable. No advance is made and the sector remains under Rebel control.

I defending Warrior unit takes a hit from the battle.

The currently undamaged AT-ST unit takes a hit from Rebel air attack

Thanks to the orbital bombardment, the South wall has finally been breached.

-

Result for Battle in the City- Attackers Routed (Reroll used)

The Imperial atttack is a complete disaster. With their armour met by anti-armour weapons the Imperials actually are in inferior strength to their foes. Add to that the difficulties of fighting in thr city, their tactical reverse and that the defenders had a re-roll available and it all amounts to a small catrostrophe.

This catastrophe is made larger by Imeprial troop movements outside the walls that prevent efficient retreat.

The two ST units both takes hits and go to each of the outside West Arm locations, bouncing trooper units to the reserve.

This is the limit of Imperial flexibility. The two trooper units in the attack are both unable to retreat and are destroyed.

-

Result at Battle for the North Wall- Firefight

Looks like this fight will go on for a while.

The North Arm (East) trooper unit takes a hit, also the North Arm (West) speeder bike unit. As does the defending militia unit that was already hit. This unit is destroyed.

(Not bad for a bunch of Pigs and Scoundrels! Do we have any anti-armor units for down at the South Wall? I think we're going to need them.)

You have no idea how much of a relief this round was for me...

Wooo! Too bad we lost the South Wall, though.

(I'm just going with the whole 'It could have been worse' theory. They got through the other wall, and look what happened. Hope we can do that too!)
