USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

Started by Brit280 pages

I'd try to kill off Janthis, but I think at this point it's important that we try to gun down all his troopers first.

Sasha will blast away at stormtroopers, now snapping her attacks again.

Rhys fires into the mass of stormtroopers again, snapping his attacks.

Oh, Ush, is Janthis still beset by Osokans?

He's still fighting them, yes.

Are they still focused on attacking him? And he them?

Well I cannot speak for Janthis but normally when an Osokan attacks you you do something about it.

Alright! Well, Sasha will actually dodge one incoming attack, Janthis prioritized.

Ok, time to sort this.

At the walls, the Rebels fire exclusively at the troopers.

Janthis snaps an attack at Sasha... but the first attack is dodged. He leaves himself a little exposed to an osokan attack but it misses. This gives him time for a second such snapped attack and this one hits!

Janthis has earned a frame advantage and can snap another attack... a 20! Another hit. Sasha's dodging has kept her in play.

Janthis orders toopers to fire on Rhys and Sasha. In fact, the combined weight of fire takes out Sasha. But this has made a great difference to his troop's ability to kill Osokans.

It's all over shortly afterwards. Two Osokans are left standing as the laat trooper falls. It's a minor miracxle how Janthis gets out of there; effectively taken out the fight on fifty damage, and every one of his men dead.

The Rebels have take horiffic casualties but the onus was on the Imperials to take ground. They have nothing to show for their total loss. This is a Rebel victory.

At the warehouse, there are no more personal scores to settle. But there's little to be done. Kyle and the Osokans fight the troopers in the main part of the building to a standstill but they are now under ST fire and the elevator is totally overwhelmed; those forces pour into the main area. All the Rebel forces must retreat to safety eastwards. Casualties for the Imps are again high but the strongpoint has fallen. Imperial victory.

Damn. We had done so well until the very end...

Scarlet takes her leave through one of the Eastern exits, moving towards the Guild Hall with Kyle and their remaining Osokan troops.

"We almost had it!" Scarlet shouts, furious.

Eerin meets up with them, the spikes from Rylis's weapon still jabbed through his armor.

"[We tried]," he says, moving cautiously, cradling his rocket launcher. "[We'll get them next time...]"

Sasha will congratulate Rhys and Ranad on their success at driving off the stormtroopers, but does so hollowly.

"We're going to need reinforcements," she sighs, looking about at the struck down bodies of both stormtroopers and Osokans.

She tends to her wounds with her Medicine roll.

Galahad is relieved that the North Wall has been held, but is extremely worried about what their loss means for the units in the West.

"So we managed to defend the wall. Against stacked odds, at that. Any chance we can pull another miracle out of wherever we got that one?"

Rhys wearily looks about at the carnage.

"Oh, hopefully. Otherwise, defending the wall like this again will be rather difficult..."

"Tired and battle-worn, Kyle mutters, "I'm about done with 'next time's. We need to find a way to end this. Any bright ideas?"

"Getting rid of those walkers, that'd be great," Scarlet says. "But fat chance. Those Gungan catapults could only bring down the tiny ones. The big ones need something like our ships' torpedoes or an internal raid. The first is highly unlikely, since we've got...what, one ship capable of it? It'd be like duck hunting for the Imperial AA. And we're not really in position for the second. Maybe to the North, but we'll be annihilated if we leave the City."

Ok, we are done with Turn 6.

---

Results at the West City: Defenders Retreat (Retreat Requirement cancelled)

Capturing important strongpoints in the outskirts of the city, the Imperials outflank their opponents and pour down fire upon them. They refuse to retreat but casualties are heavy. Two Warrior units are hit and destroyed. All other forces remain where they were.

-

Results at the North City: Attackers Retreat

Trooper casualties attacking the walls are so high that an Osokan counter attack removes the enemy infantry presence in the area. Accompanying war machines withdraw before they become vulnerable.

All Imperial North Arm units return to the reserve; a trooper unit from (West) and one from (East) are hit for a second time and destroyed.

The enemy bombardment fails to breach the walls but a Warrior unit is hit and destroyed by it.

Turn 7 can begin

Our overwhelming victory to the North is wonderful news! Good work, team!

I'll have more to say later.

Orders are in; I shall give my standard 'until end of day' time for any changes.

(In other words, someone better check over the plans again and make damn sure that's what they want to do. 🙂 )
