USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

"Well, come along, then, Senator," Sasha says to her older Thespian friend, walking shortly behind him with her own bodyguard. "You do not want to keep the delegation waiting, do you?"

So noted, Scarlet, but as ever, I'll need to know what you are aiming for before I make any rolls.

Often the way, I am afriad, Thraxis!

"Of course he's better liked than Matadan. A Sauropod would be better liked than Matadan. And unless someone else wants to say something about it, I doubt Drakkon will have any problems hanging on to power- he was elected, after all. Now... what's YOUR business with all this?"

(Happy New Year's, everyone!)

"Yes, of course not," Galahad says with a nod to Sasha.

(Who is in my delegation other than Sasha and our bodyguards? 😕 )

Galahad will lead the delegation to Drakkon's residence, then.

Oh, just various flunkies and clerks and the like, Galahad.

Well, it's a fair climb up to Drakkon's place, but you make it up there soon enough. What's your plan?

Unless I need an elaborate one, the plan is simply to find the door and knock.

Eerin will remain quiet and wait for Rhys or Kyle to say something.

Not about getting in, Galahad, but about what you intend to do inside.

Sliding a few credits across the bar, a few more than the drinks cost, Kyle tries to diffuse the situation by putting in: "Oh, don't mind him. He fancies himself an aspiring politician. Everywhere he goes he gets nosy about the local bureacracy. That's why he need Frank there," he finishes, inclining his head in the big alien's direction.

Considering the look Frank is giving Rhys, it's pretty clear he thinks he's being fairly foolish. He nods at Kyle's words, and takes a sip of the drink- first one he's taken so far. He asks Rhys quickly, "<I thought we weren't trying to be suspicious? Lay off the politics...>" Then, he takes a swig of the drink, wiping his muzzle with an armored sleeve. "<Besides, Mister 'Aspiring Politician,' I don't wanna have to knock anyone's teeth out just yet, and that kind of questioning isn't helping me meet my goals.>" Frank grins, once again forgetting that this makes him look intimidating and frightening rather than, well, grinning.

(Happy new years, all!)

Ush I'd like to find some info about imperial activity in this sector or more general any form of 'unusual' activity in this sector. If that's not available then I'm gonna try and find info about activity on Lanzar itself (but I get the feeling an Osokan can tell me more about that)

Imperial activity in his sector is zero. It's effectively uncontrolled.

"Anyways, we are here on business. This is, obviously, our first time on this planet. What we're really interested in is, well.... Shipping." Kyle slides another few credits, nearly his last, to the porcine Barkeep. "We were hoping you might be able to point us in the right direction. You know, to save time."

Then I'll go look for someone who knows the this and thats of the spaceport.

The short blue-eyed trader chose this moment to enter, well distant timing as not to arouse suspicion (Or mainly because the rear-main airlock on the Shard refused to lock down)

She made no waste of time as to approaching the bar, flicking her fingers to attract the barkeep's attention, all the while ignoring the 'familiar' occupants of the bar.

"I'll 'ave a Ruby Bliels, if i may guv? An' oh, a few extra cred for a good mixture..." she asked, impling the neccessary addition of a drop of light stim to spice it up, passing over a few additional credits.

"One thing in addition, but... know of any good tradin' cogs in the area (she pretended to scrath the tip of her nose three times to signify in smuggler language the distict type of market she was looking for, i.e: illegal party 'enhancers'😉

Unfortunately, that seems to go straight over the bartender's head, U'Ya. Lanzar is off the spectrum for that kind of talk.

"If you are looking to shift stuff off-world, then you aren't going to do it quickly," says the bartender. "You aren't going to get much to export from here unless one of the Lodges is 'supplying' you, yes?"

We need to get all of Galahad's bit done, but as aa warning, we're nearly out of time for this bar talk.

"I was more or less looking for buyers, but its no biggun', den!" she arched her back as the remains of her drink slithered down her throat with the glass dripping the remnants on her tongue, then placed the glass down on the counter at just short of the velocity to shatter it, mumouring a small apology as she got to her feet.

as she straightened up, her head swam considerably; just a few more drops of additives than she was used to was mixed in her drink, she was forced to use the doorframe as a temporary walking stick as she made her swift yet clumsy exit.

U'Ya briefly forgot what she was doing and walked off towards her ship to leave, remembering only just when she buckled in that there was a mission to be completed.

As she once again struggled to lock her ship up, she couldn't shake the feeling of dread that now plagued her...
'dread of losing me digni'ee and certain others things after consumin' such a drink again in an unfamiliar bar!' she thought to her self.

(Well, anyone else have any bright ideas? I don't think I'm getting anywhere.)

Actually we've got some good info...
Hmm, OK we should make a list of What exactly we want to find out, and what we need to do.
But first, lets go over what we know.

Imperials:
-They are going to want to make a landing, but they need to have reasoning first. They can't just do that willy-nilly, it'll be a political disaster. They need to come up with a good purpose.
-If and When they make the landing, it will be outside of the town, with the hoth-like objective of knocking out the shield generator, in order to get access to the town, where they will probably go for the guildmaster's residence...

Osokan:
-There is one Guildmaster Drakkon, Who is being assaulted by other Lodge Masters who want to be Guildmaster, and the fear is there will be another civil war.
-The main contender is Matadan, who was removed from power (Correct my if I'm wrong here, I'm not too sure) and the bartender for one doesn't like him.

OK so now I think we need an outsider opinion, and I'm gonna try and go figure that out.

OK Ush, you said that everyone is trading, and its a good place to make money, So I think being a fighter for hire is a good cover, that people won't question. So I want to look for some people who seemed to just finish a trade, and arn't activly doing anything that seems important.

It must be said, if so many lodge masters are hostile, this place seems pretty quiet.

But well done, tpt- the info is always there, if you look at what you got.

And here is a problem- there doesn't seem to be anyone like that there.

In fact, there doesn't seem to be anyone selling here.

(OK, everyone's Importing then? Why? I noticed that the Barkeep said that Shipping stuff out anytime soon would be a problem, and Ush just pointed out their isn't any selling going on. Someone brighter than me make anything out of that? Well, here's my stab.)

Kyle looks quizzically at the Bartender. "Why should it be so hard to get a shipping deal? Seems like y'all are trying to stockpile stuff. Getting ready for a war?" he adds the last part jokingly, as if he thought that would be the last thing he thought likely.
