No, none of the travellers are selling, I meant. That said, you can't see any natives selling either, but then he did say you needed to be in with the Lodges.

The point is, no trading actually seems to happen on this planet.

if none is selling anything, then why are there so many off worlders? Safari?

Kyle motions his companions closer, and whispers: "This doesn't seem right. Has any planet ever had a commerce system like Lanzar's? I haven't heard of one. What do you think is going on here?"

Well, all the pelts and stuff are presumably passed onto exporters by the Lodges, so all that commerce would be private.

You're not sure if that would attract this many customers though.

[perhaps the outsiders are the reason there is no trading, possibly being used by the imperials to bottleneck trade for some reason.

this is a long shot but the imps have done things like this before to slip under the eyes of the senate and oppress a whole planet without their knowledge.
Imperial 'unofficial' tactics are by what mainly the empire is made from.

If the Imperials squeeze both import and export then they can effectively ensure that Lanzar is incapable of mounting a resistance due to the lack of supplies.]

"Could it 'ave somfin' to do with all'a these diplomat-watzits, i think the imps 'ave some kinda' prescence on dis planet" U'Ya said in reply, keeping her volume in check, "it like dat planet, Naboo! i read once that the old an' cold trade federation squeezed the planet to reduce resistance before their assault, could be the same tactics used 'ere by those 'travellers' so to speak!"

"Maybe, a 'blockade' would certainly aid an assault. Yet they might be very selfsufficient aswell, although that is a long shot. We should try to find out."

"Dont 'ate me for mentioning this, but what is reckon is that 'dese Imps awlreddy got a few merc or bounty 'unters workin da planet, possibly even spies in advance of the landing" She stopped and quickly glanced around to make sure no-one was in earshot, "Some of 'dese so-called travellers or any other non-Osokan could be one of them, could be all of 'em!"

"All im sayin' is this; lets not ever be seen in public as a group, it will on'y attract attention, an' we couldn't do wiv alotta that!" She finished, making sure that they weren't being watched before splitting from the group.

"That's a very good observation and it might be true"

The thing is, the Empire already tried the underhand approach, which is how Matadan came to power in the first place.

The whole set-up here is that the subtle approach has failed, so the Emperor is now taking the direct one.

oh well, i was just putting forth what i would do if i was an imp commander. (bugger, my first thoroughly thought idea shot into flames:
Ali's Floating ideas: 0
Ush's AA guns: 1
(please tell me if my jokes are getting out of hand; its just my way... 🙂!)

You do have a point though.
I did think about them getting the bounty hunters in before them...

OK well thats something I'm going to ask.
Even though all attempts at trying to narrow down the people.
OK last shot.
Trader-person, sitting at a table, who looks like they are running low on drinks.

That's pretty much where you started!

C'mon man go for it.

Well, is that too broad?

think you need to specify what you want to get to know Tpt

Our barkeeping friend said all trade is going through the Lodges, guys. We need a way to get the location of Matadan's Lodge. What's a plausible reason for us to ship through Matadan, when he's in disgrace and disliked by everyone?

A group of traders talking together in low voices.

Or, a loner sitting in the corner sipping slowly.

It's much more important what you are after. When it comes to who, all I need to know is Osokan or not.

Not Ososkan.

(Osokan. How would a non-Osokan get us in touch with a lodge? Let's take a few drinks to a solitary Osokan. Someone sitting alone, and treated right is more likely to tell us the things we want, than an Osokan sitting with friends who could criticise or censor anything he says.)
