Somehow I suspect this isn't the time to try the secret mission.
I don;t want to sound silly, but you ARE here to stop the Imperials. The Alliance has sent you to defend Lanzar. This was all discussed in detail at the start. Why are people getting hung up on trying to convince Drakkon you have superior forces? That was never the deal.
"Excuse me, I think what my collegues are trying to say, albit POORLY *glare*, is that we cannot win an open war. They simply have the resources and the manpower besides anything we or you could muster. What our advantage is, is that they cannot have an open war as it stands now. There is no reason. The Senate would go balistic. Attacking an innocent planet doesn't go over well. So they are going to outmenuvre us. The imperials want to paint a picture where they come in as the glorifyed saviors, to save this poor distressed planet. They will try to incite your opponents, possibly even assasination, I am not sure how far they are willing to go. But this brings about my point. True, we are not strong in number. We cannot hope to fight the imperials except in the most dire of circumstances. But what we are strong in is politcal power. We have the connections, the money, the ability to prevent the Imperials from being able to justify invading Lanzar. We have been told that the Imperials that are here are a new breed, a new elite team, but while this is bad militaristicly, this is good for us. They are going to be walking on eggshells, they cannot do anything drastic without proper justification. Now what we need to have done, is protecting the Senatorial mission. As long as they are here, the imperials are powerless. So now we are in a stalemate.
Galahad looks over his shoulder to Cassius and gives him a wink and grin in thanks.
"Complete success with the Senatorial mission so that even Palpatine would have to be reluctant to attack, or a delay of the Senatorial mission so that the Senators remain here, which is favorable. If the Empire attacked while their own Senators were here, the Senate would go insane and several worlds would secede. They cannot risk that, and so they would likely not attack."
