USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

Seeing as Rex already beat you, better not let it happen a second time.

But how can we suddenly go 'Hey, you're doomed!' to 'If you let us help, you'll live' and convince him of it?

I dunno. We could use to dig ourselves outta this hole first...

Well, here's what I'm thinking. Galahad could hush us, then tell Drakkon that while we aren't an army, our tactics and supplies that we've brought will definitely aid us in surviving the battle.

Say that does work...
Where do we go from there?
Why ARE we here?

Not to stop the Imperials, for one. Then, the secret mission.

Somehow I suspect this isn't the time to try the secret mission.

I don;t want to sound silly, but you ARE here to stop the Imperials. The Alliance has sent you to defend Lanzar. This was all discussed in detail at the start. Why are people getting hung up on trying to convince Drakkon you have superior forces? That was never the deal.

Obviously convincing him that we don't hasn't worked very well...

But we are here to defend Lanzar. All the talking of retreating seems to have convinced us that will we be retreating, which is not the case.

Game is kinda waiting on you Rebs. You need to get a policy together!

Alright, Gimme a sec...

"Excuse me, I think what my collegues are trying to say, albit POORLY *glare*, is that we cannot win an open war. They simply have the resources and the manpower besides anything we or you could muster. What our advantage is, is that they cannot have an open war as it stands now. There is no reason. The Senate would go balistic. Attacking an innocent planet doesn't go over well. So they are going to outmenuvre us. The imperials want to paint a picture where they come in as the glorifyed saviors, to save this poor distressed planet. They will try to incite your opponents, possibly even assasination, I am not sure how far they are willing to go. But this brings about my point. True, we are not strong in number. We cannot hope to fight the imperials except in the most dire of circumstances. But what we are strong in is politcal power. We have the connections, the money, the ability to prevent the Imperials from being able to justify invading Lanzar. We have been told that the Imperials that are here are a new breed, a new elite team, but while this is bad militaristicly, this is good for us. They are going to be walking on eggshells, they cannot do anything drastic without proper justification. Now what we need to have done, is protecting the Senatorial mission. As long as they are here, the imperials are powerless. So now we are in a stalemate.

((u know for a 1st episode this thing has gone pretty damn long 😉 ))

(It hasn't even properly started off yet....)

Drakkon looks thoughtful. "So you think you can stop the Imperials invading at all?"

(not bad T)

Very tactical-minded of you Fro-Man, you'll get those Primary-Intelligence Stripes in no time. 😄

"Yes, yes I do. But its going to require effort, and compromises from everybody..."

(I'm really worried how he's gonna take the peace deal thing...)

"What kind of effort? What will need to be done?"

Galahad looks over his shoulder to Cassius and gives him a wink and grin in thanks.

"Complete success with the Senatorial mission so that even Palpatine would have to be reluctant to attack, or a delay of the Senatorial mission so that the Senators remain here, which is favorable. If the Empire attacked while their own Senators were here, the Senate would go insane and several worlds would secede. They cannot risk that, and so they would likely not attack."

"But the Senatorial Mission is not far from success; the Senators will leave when it is done. Are you certain the Empire will not just attack anyway?"

How does the empire look upon a senator being killed by Stormtroopers? (even if by accident ush?)
