Do remember Drakkon is head of state and a busy man, so you have a relatively small number of windows to talk to him. This burns one up.
"Because you guaranteed me that the Empire is definitely going to attack and so I am making sure they don't start off with a surprise bombardment."
Rebels arguing- woooooo! Anyone insisting on doing something r4gardless of dissent?
Sorry, Tpt, but you two are military men, and despite being far better at planning things, you just don't have our smuggling talents for picking assassins and other such scum out of a crowd of lookalikes.
It's Smuggler's Intuition, it is.
So anyway, Rhys, Kyle, and Eerin are off to the starport!
Rhys is looking specifically for ships or ship owners bearing telltale signs of assassinship or Imperial-ness, or even for ships that are familiar to him from his past experiences.

Still think its stupid. YOu don't think the Pilots could pick out a modifyed ship? And its not like they'd hang around anyway. You CAN pick them out better, so go look where their most likly gonna be. I dunno if we're even gonna be able to get at their ships.I still want to do ariel recon.
Too suspicious.
Okidokey, let's get dealing here.
Maps- easy enough, and this represents a 'finalised' version of the city geography that overrides anything I have said before.
Basicically, the city sprawls out into a cross shape, and so there is a central 'area', and four squat spokes, which form the northern, southern, eastern and western areas.
The shield generator is in the North, the Starport in the South, and the ancient buildings (Guild Hall, Justice Pit) are in the Centre.
Aerial recon is going to be hard now with the shield up- you will have to ask them to take it down, or try and navigate through at low speed, which is a pain.
Ok, what is the final plan for starport team? What are they going to do there? It's a pretty big port so poking around will take a while.
(Well, the thought I actually had was to first try to gain access to a list of ships docked here. See if any names ring a bell. If that turns nothing up, we'd take as quick a jaunt around the place as we can to cover the most area, to see if we recognized anything or anyone. Then off to the cantinas, maybe a gambling joint if there is one. The kind of places we'd hang out. My thought is if we don't get noticed, great. We can watch them to make sure they don't get to close to the rest of the group. If we realise we've been made, we do our best to lead them on a wild gundark chase trying to keep them away from the main group and their preparations. Also, our guidelines clearly tell us we can't engage any Imperial officers/ personnel. Does that include the Scum/Villains the Imperials hire in secret? (i.e. Bounty Hunters and Assassins)
I think getting a list of docked ships would be great, especially since Kyle and Eerin have a past with Rylis. Could we use the fact that we're doing a job for Drakkon as justification for getting the list?
Also, Jazzman, I don't think the restriction extends to hired S&V characters, because our own characters would have no way of knowing who they worked for.
(Well, how about we try Rhys' angle? As close to the truth as possible without giving up our secret. )
"Yeah. Guildmaster Drakkon sent us down here to get a full list of docked ships. It's been brought to his attention that there may be an assassin on planet. While we know that the Guildmaster can certainly protect himself from any cowardly assassin, we're just here to substantiate the rumor."
If pressed about why us: "We have a history with several of the assassins that work this sector, we're looking for either a familiar name or a certain ship type these scum are known to favor."
