(I know we can't save them, this is more like trying to redeem ourselves/show the empire they can't do whatever they want. It seems very Rebel to me, but I understand if Ush disallows it. Ush said it was character development, so Kyle just realised he'd done wrong and now badly wants to do something to make it better. He knows he doomed the freighter, and can't save it, and it's his fault. He can, however, take it out on the Imperials who put him in the situation in the first place. (i.e.-I'm trying to show how the situation impacted him and he's had a change of heart.)
You already landed I am afraid.
In many games I might allow a re-thinkj, but I can;t here because this is a two sided game and these are Imperial actions you are working against- it is totally unfair on them to change the situation.
I am afraid that in a competitive game, you live and die on how you do things.
Rhys sits in his seat, simply staring at his own hands.
"It... it was the right thing to do. The Rebellion could have been exposed if we had tried to help... There was nothing we could have done anyhow, against a Star Destroyer! This was the proper action, in the long run..."
Pain creeps into his expression. Lying to himself won't change what he realized when he saw that TIEs deploying. This was the smart thing to do... but the right thing?
haha, if we could SHOW that, but that would mean tipping our hand about our wiretap, which is something I really don't feel like doing. I have a feeling thats going to be our trump card.
How bout you call up Galahad tell him what happened, and get him to call up the commisionar (Melkor) and ask him what the hell he's doing and that he's gonna tell the senate that they destroyed innocent unarmed freighters and stuff

Kyle turned around in his seat to be able to see both of his partners.
Rhys, don't beat yourself up too bad. I was thinking exactly the way you were. 'They knew what they were getting into', 'we have to protect our secret', 'it's a hopeless fight anyhow', all of that. I was simply focused on dealing with their logs. Now, innocent or not, those people are dead, or dying as we speak.
You, Eerin and I; this whole group thing is a new experience for us. All our lives we've been looking out for number one, it's how we survived. If we're going to do this Rebel thing right, we've got to play by new rules. It's a harsh lesson, but we learn from this experience. We move on and stop the Imperials. That's the best way we can honor the people we let down today."
He lets his words float off into the silence in the cabin for a few seconds as each of them came to terms with what had happened. "Well, I guess we better find Galahad and the rest and explain what happened."
It's true, they DID know what they were getting into. It's not your fault as such, but Rebels really do rack it up on the 'do-gooder' scale.
"I'm reading... shield flares... an energy spike.... that is a reactor breach."
"Escape pods?"
"I can't tell."
"Deviator is within firing range."
"Yes, thankyou," says Andran. "I think we can leave it there."
There are a few moments of silence.
"Back to business," says Andran, heading for the doors. He stops by them. "They'll pay for this," he says. And then he leaves.
Umless there are any major objections, this is where I want to end day one, as the night comes.
