NIGHTTIME- Day 1

Events happen during the night, but unless someone wants to take specific action against the other side (with possible sleep deprivation risks), interaction between the two sides does not occur.

The mood is sombre, both from the Senate- witnessing once more the sheer aggressive arrogance of the Imperial representatives- and from the Osokans, increasingly convinced that the Empire mean to see this though no matter what the Senate thinks.

Andran is making the necessary arrangements to challenge what has happened. "They are prevaricating for now, whilst they 'clear up' the aftermath" says Andran, "but we will be able to press the situation in the morning. Either they have an explanation by then, or I shall call an emergency session on Coruscant. I shall be busy- I need to stop any of the Osokan factions from mounting a first strike, so it might be well if you open up communications at first light."

Drakkon has a request for you, Galahad- he wishes to see everyone that was involved with moving the weapons around yesterday.

Other than sleeping, was there anything else people wanted to do?

If not, we can also proceed to a strategic conference. The time line is a bit wobby at night; events all happen but the order is hazy. Drakkon's conversation, for example, actually comes later in the night, so if you want to plan first, feel free.

Do remember your characters will be sleeping also.

Galahad will comply with Drakkon's request, and round up Kyle, Rhys, Eerin, and Scarlet for a talk with the Guildmaster.

(Kyle really doesn't want to see Drakkon, but he will go without a fuss.)

Ah, wait Ush, I just thought of something!

We know that Vader ordered the attack on the freighters, but we can't use that knowledge because our source is illegal.

Could Rhys, Kyle, and Eerin, and anyone else who could fit in with the regular bar crowd, spend the beginning of the night making cantina rounds, spreading the "rumor" that Vader personally ordered the attack? Would the Lanzar City nightlife be able to spread the "rumor" fast enough that by the next day it would be fairly common knowledge?

I don't think the Lanzar nightlife would care all that much who ordered the attack on the freighters.

What they would care about is blockade, which is what has been initiated.

(No, he might be on to something. The rumor could very easily spread beyond Lanzar. I imagine smugglers, theives, and other unsavory's would be quick to spread the word throughout the sector. 'Watch out! Vader is cracking down on smugglers!'
While we don't care about smugglers and other criminals evading Imperial entanglements (except in some cases), sucha rumor spreading to the right ears might get back to the senate. If it got to them, say, in the next few days maybe it would help our cause. I'd be up for trying, anyhow.)
But that makes me think of something. Would the Last Laugh and her crew be locally recognized as having something to do with the incident? It might impact the situation.)

I highly doubt that gabbing smugglers are going to get in touch with the Senate. Andran's going to let the Senate know, definitely.

The only reason I would spread rumors of the blockade would be to gather support and whatnot for when it comes time to be knocking stormtrooper heads.

The Senate is not going to dare say anything about Vader because of vague rumours that he killed some smugglers. There are some who would congratulate him, in fact.

Last Laugh could very well be identified, yes.

Drakkon wants to know exactly what happened with all the weapons.

Oh, it definitely won't be about Vader that they complain, just the attack itself. If any complaining at all, even...

Well, either way, Drakkon wants to hear what you have to say..

Rhys will explain to Drakkon that the weapons were brought to a large warehouse, separated into sixths, and each part was moved to a different warehouse in the same general area. He gives Drakkon the basic locations of each.

"You are aware that by scattering them around like that, you were placing them inside the territories of other Lodge Masters?"

Tell him it was either that or the Imps would have gotten them. They had spies on out tail and we had to do something fast. It was the only option.

Cass is tired of listening for so long. He's gonna go to a bar, graba drink and start spreading some rumors.

"We discovered that we had been followed by spies to the warehouse. We had no choice but to move the weapons again so that they would not be found."

"We are positive that they had not been followed to the new locations, Guildmaster," Scarlet adds. "I remained on guard until just a few moments ago, and I saw no sign of our enemies."

"A good Hunter does not claim a victory until he has the pelt," says Drakkon.

(it was considerably longer than a few moments ago)

Kyle steps in. "We're not hunters, Guildmaster. Would you prefer the Imperials got hold of your weapons? You would be far worse off right now if we didn't act quickly, unless you enjoy orbital bombardment. Besides, you weren't exactly available for consultation at the time."

"It is a saying that holds true for most things in life," says Drakkon, "and your words would have more power had you been successful. You were not; the Imperials raided the warehouises during the night."

(I though Scarlett was watching. When did she leave?)
"What?! The Imperials would have mad a big fuss about it by now. Are you sure it wasn't another Lodge?" Kyle looked at the others. "Well, we better get moving after this. We're really in trouble now."

When I asked if everyone was done. Would you rather she had been caught there?

"Lodge members rarely wear Stormtrooper uniforms," says Drakkon, "amusing idea though that is. Now, this is complicated. They did not raid all the warehouses, and several of those that they did raid, they did not find as much as they wanted. This was because the owners of the warehouses had already moved the weapons on.

"This is a problem. I get the impression that you think it was... 'rude'? To use other territories without permission? Let me assure you, that is the last worry on my mind. Most of the warehouses you used belong to my enemies. People who want me dead. It is not without reason that I centralised control of the finances and bought all the weapons myself. I have no idea what you mean by saying I was unavilable. Had you sent me a message, I could have told you which places belong to friends of mine and which to foes.

"Aside from the weapons the Imperials found, most of the others have been stolen. They will use them to try and kill me, but more likely first they will use them to start shooting at the Stormtroopers in the streets, which Senator Andran assures is the fastest way to Imperial invasion."

Drakkon smiles.

"Luckily, this is what I call a 'shared' problem. You see, they stole all of your weapons as well."
