USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

(The Freighters can lead, we can hang back slightly. Then when the TIE's move on the freighters, we'll be in position to attack them.)

As noted above, firing on the TIE Fighters will precipitate a war...

(Well, I'm out of ideas then. Anyone else that can work through the head of Ush's pin here? We definitely need those guns, but I can't find a way around. We can't fight, we can't draw them off, and tricky manovers to evade TIE's won't help. I'm missing something, but I don't see it...)

I think we should try to find the weakest concentration of TIE fighters when we get up there and escort the freighters through that.

Though, that means we should probably not take it on the way up, which could be difficult getting into space.

I suppose talking with Drakkon can wait until that confrontation is done.

Galahad has three people he could yell at, the way he sees it: Commissar Esgabath, the Captain of the Deviator, or Lord Vader himself.

Who actually ordered the blockade, the Captain or Lord Vader?

What does 'escort' mean?

(We know that he pretty much wants to kill Drakkon and take over, he supported Matadan but not the Imperials, and so on, Rhys)

Sasha will be taking Rhys and her bodyguard with her.

"Thank you for coming, Rhys," Sasha says as they walk to the speeder.

"Not a problem, Duchess. I know you and your bodyguard can probably take care of things, but it doesn't hurt to have an extra blaster at your side, eh? Though I hope it doesn't come to that..."

Vormax lives in a relatively modern Guildhouse on the south side of town. You have what Drakkon told you about him earlier- do you want a reminder?

Those still at the Guild Hall- Drakkon takes a brief moment out of his argument to take a call on the communications system. He later gets word to you tha, whilst he was expecting the Commissar, it was in fact an Imperial General that dcontatced him, asking for a meeting. It will happen this afternoon.

Hmm,
Man this blockade running is really bugging me...
Couldn't we just fly through it and if they shoot first, can we fire back in self defence?

Claiming self defence against Imperial forces is very hard. Doing it when running a blockade is impossible.

But more to the point, what if they just fire at the freighters?

Then we're F'ed...

That's why you need to think about other things than flying around near the freighters, as if that ill turnb the freighters invisible or keep them safe from harm.

How about buzzing the control deck of an SD? Not firing, not doing anything offensive, just being annoying with constant close fly-bys. Would it be distracting enough that while they tried to get Rebs out of their face that they'd temporarily forget about the freighters?

No, that falls under the cateogry of trying to make it invisible. Like I say, they have hundreds of TIEs to enforce the blockade with.

(Rhys mentined something earlier about a distraction of some sort. Was that shot down or did the idea fall through the cracks?)

We decided that we couldn't pull off a distraction, there are too many Imps, they can get at us, without leaving themselves open.

A reminder might be useful.

The Duchess will give Captain Ranad the directions to Vormax's Guildhouse.

Ok, Vormax is VERY hostile to Drakkon, but although he is no genous he is no fool either, and won't pre-empt an Imperial invasion by making an ass of himself now with the weapons.

Vormax is a 'hyper-patriot'; someone who thinks he is more loyal to Lanzar than the ruling administration of Drakkon. Drakkon didn't seem to rate his hutning skills that much either, an indiciation that the spirit of Lanzar is petering out in favour of politics.

So, you will need to convince Vormax to hand them back to the person he hates the most...
