Your shuttle lands at the landing area at about 3am. By this time, the worst of the incident has been cleared up; the evidence remaining now is mostly bagged.
General Lomax greets you nad gives a situation report. The last of the hpsitles have been dealt with, and no more have attacked. He has four trooper Commanders on hand to give you their accounts of what happened in the fight.

No-one is entirely sure what happened. The wildlife had not previously come out of the treeline before, and as there were no patrols in the jungle (as they were all dying) it was hard to get any advanced warning.
But by the time the alarms really went off, the raptor attack had already crossed the perimiter and destroyed the outlying patrols and, and this is where the casualties started to mount, gotten into some of the barracks where the troopers were sleeping.
The commanders give you their fighting report. They comment that air cover would have been very useful.
Early on, Stormtroopers suffered very heavy casualties. Raptors are very fast and just about resistant enough to smallarms fire that they could tear through the scattered trooper forces. Only later, when the troopers came in deep formations did things start to change. The raptors started to attack from the sides and rear, and so eventually the troopers formed squares to drive the attackers off. Even so, casualties were still hefty, and it was only when enough people had presence of mind to deply heavy repeating blasters and the like that the killing stopped.
AT-AT's were too slow and unwieldly to be used.
AT-STs did well enough; their guns are reasonably well targetted and fast firing. Raptors don't do much against their armoured hulls. Some were knocked over by mass raptor charges, but suffered no permanent damage. But they didn't slaughter; trying to get enough into the right place was difficult and they turned too slowly when raptors got past them.
Speeder bikes were definitely the best weapon. Although massed trooper ranks killed more quickly, speeders could make hit and run attacks. Their light guns are well suited for raptors and, most importantly, they could zip away faster than the raptors could run, which meant speeders could engage them safely. Only in open field of course; it would be a nightmare in the jungle
General Coll will perform one of those pointless 'disgusted officer' things like taking off his gloves and smacking them on something out of frustration.
"Damn this planet. I want damned walkers patrolling the borders of the camp, not stormtroopers. The men are being devoured by the jungle, so keep them away from it. AT-STs and speeder bikes at the perimeter, understand?"
"Well, it is always good to know what went wrong, but we need something more. Please prepare a report concerning the measures that can be taken to avoid further losses on such unacceptable scale, considering the fact that we will be moving through jungle tomorrow. Perhaps patrols should consist of speeders?"- Commisar adresses the Senior Commanders.
"Oh, and I would like to make a speech to the soldiers."
Seeing the Stormtroopers gathered, Commisar enters the prepared platform in the centre of the camp, the main source of artificial light in the centered around him. His voice is well heard through the entire camp.
"Soldiers of the Empire, recent events were difficult, but know that victory will be ours! We weren`t prepared for the ferocity of those beasts, but next time we won`t be surprised. All mistakes shall be analyzed and eliminated. There will be no place for weakness, hesitation and cowardly.
Indeed, the sacrifice of your comrades will not go in vain. Despite being surprised and unprepared you fought bravely and prevailed. There will be more battles and victory will not come without a price. But know that Emperor is with you in those difficult times and through myself, his representative, he shall reward his faithful warriors. All soldiers in the Taskforce will have their salary increased by 25% percent for this year, and there will be further benefits after our glorious victory. Imperial military expects only the best from its members but dedication and courage shall always be duly esteemed."
Around dozen soldiers step to the lower part of the platform as Esgabath continues.
"Some of you showed exceptional skills and courage already, and such example will be not be forgotten."- First of the Stormtroopers aproaches the Commisar, bandages in place of his arm . -"Sergeant Kale here saved the life of his wounded Commander, and he was one of the quickest to come with proper tactics against the opponent, which allowed most of his unit to survive despite being close to the perimeter. In the name of His Imperial Majesty I grant him the Imperial Order Second Class . He shall be promoted and given new arm, superior to the original."- It continues until all of the distinquished soldiers are rewarded.
"I am certain that the example of those soldiers shall be followed. I believe that this attack was not natural, it is unusual for animals to attack in such numbers. After all, aren`t Osokans almost animals as well? Know that there are also Rebel Terrorsts aiding those savages, but they will soon know our retribution, as well as traitors in the Senate. Leader of those barbarians, Drakkon believes that the walls of his city, his treachery and aid of the traitors can save him. He will soon learn in despair how wrong he is!
Osokans are indeed vicious beasts that former Republic couldn`t have dealt with for centuries. But they have never faced the might of the Imperial Military! We have vastly superior discipline, firepower, and finally the will to eliminate the problem once and for all. Everything that those animals will throw at us will be returned tenfold! Where the Jedi once barely suceeded after 2 years, we will prevail in days. For we will show no mercy this time. Lanzar shall burn and Osokans will learn their place in the Imperial Order, for suffering will be their teacher!
The entire galaxy will watch in awe as our victory unfolds, and I am sure Emperor himself will be proud. Do not hesitate and do your job with pride, as you are the fierce warriors of the stars, protectors of our great Empire and you will be all justly honored and rewarded.
