As Melkor pointed out earlier, Vader put Jaiden in charge of taking the Hall. However, I think he ment taking the Guild Hall during the battle. AT-ST's are still preety clumsy, remember. It would take some time for them to get to the Guild Hall, and nearby mobs of Osokans won't just stand there and let it get there.
Maybe we could send a company on fast vehicles ahead of the main force in order to divert Osokan attention, not fight them? Then it would be alot easier for others to get into the Guild Hall.
Whether he knows Drakkon from the time that the Hunters were still hunting Jedi, and what does he think of my ideas for the future of Lanzar- I was thinking about enslaving some of the population as labour force, as we did with Wookies.
I also wonder what is his plan for actual battle. He has some ideas for the Tie Fighters, it seems.
WAR ON LANZAR BEGINS
The Empire declares war on Lanzar! Now only force will resolve things. The invasion is legal and takes place without any significant trouble in the Senate.
It seems Imperial forces started marching before the declaration. Brilliant strategic projection or blatant pre-emption? Irrelevant- it appears there are no witnesses to the early march and only conjecture can say it happened (though it really did)
On the other hand, the Imperials are having real trouble handing the wildlife. The equivalent of a Stormtrooper unit will be lost on the march, and it will be delayed.
The Osokans are a primitive, barbaric people. It is expected that Imperial retribution will be swift and effective. Very effective. In fact, it is expected that the situation be finished within three days of the declaration.
Should the fight take longer than this, rumour will spread of Rebel involvement in frustrating the Imperials. Emboldened of a possible alternative, some worlds oppressed by force will gain hope, courage and a louder voice. Senate Sympathy will incease by one.
Should the Imperials lose... well, that would certainly be a MAJOR issue.
Imperials troops are now 30 hours from Lanzar City.
Coll continues his march, watching down upon the jungles as stormtroopers disappear at random due to Raptor attacks.
"Blasted creatures..." he snarls. "Once we've leveled Lanzar City, the jungles will be next. Orbital bombardment on all of it!"
He paces the deck of his AT-AT, getting antsy. Then, he decides to contact Lord Vader, to ask the Dark Lord if he will be joining them on the surface and if so, should he prepare an escort.
Okay, so I cannot make an issue out of the fact that Galahad is on Lanzar and I am very concerned about his safety? I mentioned contacting the Senate and his homeworld about this.
And without being on Lanzar I cannot verify whether Matadan was fed to raptors? I think Comission Senators may know.
So aside of there being anything left on political front Commisar wants a conference before the battle of the city.
But wait a moment Ush- now we have legally sanctioned military operation on Lanzar- this is war, VERY serious business. This operation is under the supervision of Commisariat- MY supervision. And if Imperial Senator is now in the middle of it, I think I have right to demand explanation of Galahad. Even Imperial Senator has no right to mess with Empire`s war effort without a good reason. And if he is taken hostage, Imperial Military will be expected to help. So I think I want to contact his as soon as possible. Given this justification, can I get his communication channels or something like this?
And I assume I suceeded in calling the final meeting of Senior Staff then.
"Gentlemen, soon we shall break the spine of Lanzar. Without the threat of Senate interference, all that is left is to teach those Osokans the ultimate lesson."- Commisar speaks firmly, studying the maps and plans.
"Marshall Atar, could you review the plans General Coll is developing? He seems to count on succesful coordination between artillery and infantry."
