USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Started by Lord Melkor372 pages

They may try to ambush our artillery, Coll, we must be careful.

Though shouldn`t they be doing such stuff earlier? I am not sure how much they can do in an hour....unless there is some elaborate scheme here.

Does it really matter if their closing in or not? They aren't supposed to be here, and we have full rights to shoot them down.

"Keep hailing them," Coll says to Bast. He casts his narrowed eyes over to the gunner. "If they do not respond, open fire. Vaporize them."

Problem is a little more basic than that. They are massively out of your range.

Coll distastefully eyes the sensors, then walks over to them and pulls up the readings on these hostile ships.

What type of starship are we dealing with? Do we recognize these ships from...previous encounters?

Arvus will set down the Needle towards the edge of the jungle and stay inside his ship until the Imperial Army arrives.

"Don't go outside," Arvus says. "Not 'til the General gets here. I don't feel like becoming raptor munch just before our little hunting trip."

Are they within the range of anything in my command?

Trebeis will hail them.
"Unidentified vessels. You are currently flying in restricted space. Respond immediately, or proper actions will be made."

I am afraid that you don`t have much naval power left, Trebeis, because Vader took most. Though at this point I am not sure we should bother with the blockade at all.....

But I don`t think that they can attack us effectively with their ships while we have AT-AT`s. And during the battle, wouldn`t they have to lower the shield for this?

Arvus, could you better define 'edge of the jungle' please?

The ships are in atmosphere, and not responding to hails. One of them is the fighter craft involved in running the blockade earlier.

I also feel I should point out that payloads on ships (e.g. proton torpedoes) are designed to destroy large starships, in sufficient number. They can blow up AT-ATs.

Ush, can I ask Nidar if he agrees that providing aircover for the army at this point is more important than blockade. But I am not sure what Vader`s plan for his fighters is....... Perhaps I and Nidar should ask him about this. Shouldn`t there be more coordination, even when Vader is involved? Though Commisar thinks that at this point military failures can be blamed on others, so it may be risky to piss Vader off.

Trebeis, you are Captain and you haven`t angered Vader yet....

Oh, that's extremely unpleasant news.

"All Armored Transport gunners stand by," Coll orders via comm system. "Continue advance, but be prepared to take down the enemy fighters should they make any aggressive actions towards the column."

There is only one thing that 'should' be so when Vader is involved, and that is the way he has done it.

Nidar says he'll leave it up to the Squadron leader, but he doesn't know what people are worrying about. The contacts are light fighters, designed to dogfight. He doubts they even have a payload.

"Rebels making a reconaissance run," he says.

By 'edge of the jungle,' I mean within the area that the Army will hit their '15 minutes to go' mark.

That's going to take you not only into the Rebel fighter sensor range, but also directly past them.

I can wait until they leave.

And if they don't leave?

If they don't leave, then Arvus would try to rush past them, keeping low over the jungle and near the column. If they gave chase, then they'd have fifteen AT-ATs firing at them.

Plus, the Needle is made for speed, not for dogfighting. Arvus is not nearly good enough of a Pilot for that.

Those are light fighters. They are also fast.

"Shouldn`t they have been doing reconaissance earlier?"- Commisar responds.

Is Ulrand still playing?

And Arvus, I thought you alredy went there by shuttle. Are Lyle and Rylis are with you? Rylis has her own starfighter. Frankly I think we should proceed with the battle before Rebels have more time to plan.
