USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Dang it

Oh well I guess I was wrong. I was thinking that maybe they talked the Osokans into attacking us outside of the base and that this was diversion to that once we started to set up we would be atacked.

Although that does sound stupid.

Edit: And USh once we get within ten minutes of the area Janthis would like to exit the AT-AT and march into the area with his men.

Well, and it was silly to think that Last Laugh`s crew may be alive....

"It looks like they want to fight, not run. I wonder what they may be planning."- Commisar remarks to Commodore.

Nidar is talking urgently with some of his bridge officers.

Once in range, the 95th will begin firing on the Rebels, concentrating on the fighters.

Cannot Star Destroyers give some kind of support fire? Trebeis?

Don`t we have any support ships of bigger class than Tie-Fighters?

No, the Rebels have deliberately attacked the TIEs at their patrol point furthest from the ISDs.

And no.

Engagement is about to begin.

"I say we land now." Rylis says to Arvus. "I don't much feel like getting stuck in a fight up here at this point. The army can catch up to us."

(see, we should have landed earlier like I had wanted to...)

Your ships will make lovely targets to an air strike.

Well it's that or wait until after the Rebel ships leave and who knows how long that'll take.

(insert bitchiness here about having wanted to do something differently but was ignored)

Seeing Nidar`s reaction Commisar curses under his breath and contacts the ships of Rylis and Arvus.

"Rylis, Arvus, this is Commisar Esgabath speaking. Rebels are up to something big, no matter what happens to naval force, you are ordered to delay your landing and provide aircover until our artillery is inside the shield."

Are you kidding me?

Go take a look at our pilot scores and tell me how effective you think it'll be.

That's not going to succeed in anything but getting the both of us shot down. WHICH ISN'T HAPPENING.

But so far you have 2 squadrons and Ulrand on your side. I think you two together can match single Rebel, though perhaps not Ace. No need to panic.....

Maybe if it only was a single Rebel, you may have a point. But Ush said there's three of them. And that'd be suicide for us. We would be of no help at all because we're simply not that great pilots.

Three Rebels against you, three squadrons, perhaps Star Destroyers and Ulrand, who is as good as any Rebel save Ace. It doesn`t look like certain doom. And average pilot has a skill of 8, so you are still elite, especially Rylis who has Pilot Tricks. Arvus at least has some Fortune.

Is Coll`s ship able to engage starfighters, by the way?

Well, yes, but he'd rather not.

It's two squadrons, btw.

Still much better than average, yes, but certainly not matches for ANY of the Rebel pilots.

I say this is a horribly bad idea and will not at all help. It'll likely just end up screwing us over more.

I am talking about entire battle situation here.

And I calculated that Vader has 9 squadrons under his command, though it seems they are still not in the air.

By the way, if we sacrifice few Tie-Fighters and they crash through the shield directly over the shield generator, couldn`t it damage it?

And Ush, should Rylis feel that powerless against Rebels?

a. The 'entire' situation is entirely irrelevant to Lana, only the odds she will face

b. He has more than that

c. Nope

You've said before that you thought Rylis was a very cautious person, right, Melkor?

Well, in her mind, anyone who's going to try something like what the Rebels are trying has to be either really good and hoping to get lucky, or really stupid and suicidal, and she's banking on it being the first. She doesn't care about the overall situation, she cares about not getting shot down, and as far as she's concerned, that's going to be the only outcome if she gets involved in this fight.

Maybe if our other Squadron Leader hadn't dropped out, or if we had the TIE squadrons that Vader took, then it'd be different. But as it stands? Not a chance in hell is Rylis going to go along with that plan. And I doubt Arvus will like or agree with it much either.

Well, one Squadron Leader is still with you, Rylis. I don`t see how facing possible 3 Rebel Ships with Ulrand, 2 squadrons and you two is less dangerous than going to look for Drakkon. Of course situation may change.

But of course Commisar understands....though if you don`t help with this, at least find Drakkon.
