USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Started by Trickster372 pages

(Consider pulling back the artillery now, while you get air support?)

And as I have asked before, General. Why are you unable to handle a mere three ships?

Too late for that I am afraid, Lyle.

"The anti-aircraft capabilities of the Army are minimal, and my aircover has been retracted to protect the Star Destroyers."

Can the AT-ATs be positioned so that making an attack run on the artillery units will also be an attack run on the AT-AT, therefore allowing the AT-ATs to fire?

(Lana, will Barbarossa be online soon?)

(not sure, he's having computer troubles and I'm about to leave for the weekend. I'll leave him a note saying to be sure to take a look.)

(Tell him that there is an interesting PM for him to check)

I am interested in your assessment of the armed forces of three Star Destroyers as inadequate against an attack of a mere three ships. Perhaps the Emperor should be informed that his forces are so useless?

And no, the Rebels would just attack from a different angle.

Indeed, why Army has no anti-aircraft weapons? Isn`t it over-reliance on aircover?

I was surprised as well. Almost in all Star-Wars games including "Star Wars: Empire At War" there were Imperial anti-aircraft vehicles.

It's a bit like asking why the Rebels took down two TIE Squadrons.

The AT-STs are perfectly adequate cover... just not against ridiculously good heroes.

Heck, on Hoth they didn't bother with air cover at all. And we do tend to base our stuff from the films- there appeared to be no dedicated anti-air vehicles in the Imperial forces. Didn't seem to worry them any.

That said, I have made an error, as I forgot to adjust the Rebels down for using non-atmospheric craft (for once, that was a relevant issue, as before it's always been like against like)

Final result likely not greatly different though. More damage taken by tbe Rebs.

Hmm...

If Arvus and Rylis were to jump into action, could we race them up to the Star Destroyers? We'd be safe there, unless they really wanted to pursue...

"Not at all, my Lord," Coll replies, uncomfortably. "The scout walkers are sufficiently battering one of their ships, but I fear that they will not be able to down the torpedo-bearing crafts before the artillery units are wiped out."

Could the artillery units be used against the fighters at all?

You could certainly try; I cannot predict the outcome.

Nope; the artillery is entirely inadequate.

Vader's not interested in the what, he wants thw why. Why can't you handle it?

"They are extremely skilled Rebel pilots, my Lord," Coll says, simply. "Their piloting abilities simply outmatch the skills of my scout walkers."

Could Coll make a Warfare roll on the situation, to see what could be done with is Army to combat the spaceships?

You're really not meant to be dependant on outdated artillery, is the thing.

Vader says he has some TIEs on patrol; he'll send them over.

"My gratitude is yours, Lord Vader," Coll replies. "Would you like me to keep you updated on the situation?"

Arvus will remain in the jungle, then, since Vader has supplied support.

I think you will be now safe to leave the jungle, Arvus.

I want to see how many ships Vader's sending first...
