I think his point was that he didn't want us to use them at all.

The attack runs miss; there are loud explosions as proton torpedoes hit the ground but they are onl blowing earth to pieces.

However, the light fighter is attacking the STs exclusively and as they are only firing at the Black Dawn- not very effectively- it is getting an easy time against them, recieving a bonus to hit.

Meanwhile, Arvus- well, there is certainly movement out there.

Coll watches with distaste as the light fighter greatly damages one of the AT-STs, but smiles slightly when the bombing run fails to have any effect.

Tactical update is in...

That fighrer is starting to make a mockery of the AT-STs.

And this time the artillery units take two direct hits; the torpedoes cause heavy damage.

Scan of enemies is complete- both the trader and the fighter have been purpose-adapted for heavy payload. They have sufficiwnt ammunition to keep this up for a while.

Coll, looking at the effect defensive fire is having- currently almost none- and their rate of success... they're going to wipe the field and start picking other targets. This is a disaster.

Ohh, not good. I assume that Senior Staff from Victorious are also observing the situation?

"It doesn`t look good. If they destroy BOTH our artillery and many AT-ST`s I don`t see high chances for the effective assault of the city." -Commisar speaks grimly to Commodore and Marshall. -"Do you think that we can do something to prevent this disaster?"

"They'll hit the AT-ATs before they worry about the smaller units," says Atar.

Nidar has jut been handed a report by one of his underlings; he checks it out.

"A word in private if you would, Commissar."

"Of course, Commodore." -Commisar responds flatly.

Coll watches angrily.

Would it be reasonable to pull the artillery units back into the jungle until the rest of the Army reaches the City and passes the shield?

"The beasties know we're here," Arvus says to Rylis, indicating the movement around the ships.

Arvus will watch for any hostile movement, anything that could be threatening to his ship.

I think it is time to call Vader

"Well, that didn't take long." Rylis replies. "Lyle, keep an eye out..."

Well, it's got to come out SOME time. And putting any forces inside the shield without the artillery is, pretty much, inviting them to get shot at for no gain.

Plenty of movement, Arvus, and any of it could be hostile.

In a cacophony of blaster and torpedo fire, the Rebels wreak havoc. Another ST unit is lost, and this time the torpedoes find their mark dead on.

The artillery unit is destroyed. This denies it to you now, and removes the unit's availability from the task force. This counts for future games as well...

Coll, if this carries on, it will become a mattter of how quickly they find you, rather than IF you are going to be executed or not.

Coll grinds his teeth as the artillery units are blown to pieces by the torpedos.

"Lieutenant Bast," Coll says. "...get me in touch with Lord Vader. We need fighter cover, or the entire battle will be over before we reach the City."

Ush, can my Ties:Emperor Merit be used to help replenish some losses for next Episode? Perhaps Revenge can pick some reinforcements on Coruscant?

And what our rising star Commodore wants? To tell me how my interference made matters worse? He better be careful with his game...

You are through to Lord Vader, Coll. His miniature holographic image is within your AT-AT.

And nope, afraid not, Melkor.

"Lord Vader, I spoke with you on the matter of air support earlier," Coll says. "I was curious if two squadrons could be made availabe for air support, for the Rebels have responded to our march with a surprising move. Otherwise, the battle may take longer than anticipated."

Do not talk to me like some chattering merchant, General. What is happening?

"The Rebels have launched an attack on my artillery units. Three ships."
