It is roughly that distance, Coll, yes. Atar wants to speak to you now.
Don't get too excited, Jaiden! This is Vader's way. He thinks you messed up, he throws you at something ridiculously dangerous, whereupon you either die or redeem yourself. Or run away... in which case you basically just die anyway when Vader finds you.

There are now floods of ships ladning all around, Janthis. Shuttles and landing transports, landing as far as the eye can see/ As you watch, an enormous, bulky, ugly shell of a transport, hollow and wqith no bottom, comes down to the ground with its blaring engines pumping out beneath it. When it lands, for thirty seconds you hear the release of enormous clamps inside, and then it takes off again, and underneath where it landed, two AT-ATs now stand.
Another shuttle is landing, with a heavy stormtrooper escort all around it. A figure emerges- General Lomax.

Vader's expressionless face makes him almost impossible to read. Is he thinking? Is he just trying to creep you out? He's certainly refusing to sit down.
You may tell me what you have discovered on the surface now, Commissar, he says, finally.
Esgagath will summarize the situation on Lanzar, and his meetings with Drakkon and Andran.
"Drakkon is difficult to deal with, he is too stubborn and proud to be intimidated or bribed, but I tried to make a rift between him and Andran. He was outraged when I suggested that imperial garrison should be stationed on Lanzar, and now may do something reckless.... especiallly that Andran likely promised him that no such thing would happen if he agreed to his terms, but he cannot oppose our legal actions.
I intended to contact the Lodge Masters and other Senators, who may be more amenable, I think I will continue with it when I return to Lanzar. Also, my unofficial agents, including Bounty Hunter Rylis, have discovered the weapon smuggling that may be illegal, and encountered a few supposed Rebel Spies."
You haven't actually got any evidence of weapon smuggling or anything even close, I think you should bear in mind. Vader doesn't actually care, however.
Only force will bring Drakkon to heel. He must be taken, and the Emperor wants him alive.

I am here to take care of the some of the developing problems that have arisen in this mission. Your mission remains unchanged.

Tell me Commissar... what do you think of Senator Andran?
"He is a very intelligent and proud man, but doesn`t understand the New Order and the fact that political machinations and smooth talk are nor enough to maintain the galaxy-wide goverment, as it was witnessed during the Clone Wars. He will try to to make the Senate oppose the Emperor, unless we find a solid legal excuse to depose Drakkon.
And I must admit that it would be difficult, since his negotiations went surprisingly well, it is troublesome that he can convince such savage people as Osokans."
Esgabath thinks for few seconds, considering certain options, but then he shakes his head:
"But he can`t be.... eliminated, I have to beat him in his own game. He may be skilled, but nobody can be perfect, and an attempt to end the conflict among such violent people is a task that can`t go flawlessly, he had to make a mistake somewhere.... and I am going to find the weak spot!" -Melkor seems really determined on this.
"Perhaps other Senators can point me somewhere .... I must quickly return to Lanzar to speak with them the right way."
Melkor is surprised by this question. Is Vader testing him, or does he have some plans it would be extremally dangerous to even know of?
"Well, it is difficult to imagine the Empire without the Emperor and his genious, but considering his age, it has to happen sooner or later.
It would be almost impossible for one person to replace the Emperor, and I am sure the likes of Andran would like the Senate to regain the Power they once had. But I am confident that such people as you and Grand Moff Tarkin could stop it from happening. We need strong military and leadership to stop the Chaos from returning."
Under the Emergency laws passed by the Senate, there can be no elections. Should there be no-one in power, power must devolve to the next most senior person.

The Emperor has no political deputy, and these rules are still set by the administration of the old Republican Senate. The line exists now as it used to for the Supreme Chancellor.
(breathing noise)
Under those laws, the next in line under the Emperor is the longest serving member of the Senate.
Ah well, ahving arranged apointments with the Senators and given you the drafts and after you spoke with Drakkon... that was all you said you were going down for!
He already has support. He is a cancer inside the Imperial Senate. The Emperor has deiceed that it is time to deal with Coran Andran. Permanently.
