iceman vs. wolverine in antartica

Wolverine obviously has something you guys are missing. He has the ability to keep his cells from freezing. I don't know how much simpler I can make it.

So, Wolverine is able to walk on, let's say, Triton, where the temperature is -238.15 degree Celsius?

It can be -20 outside and Wolverine can be butt ass naked sitting on snow, after having been in water, eating a fish with no problem.
That would KILL me.

But Wolverine is not you.

There are animals that can survive easily at -20. Beck Weathers (a normal human, just like you and me) was able to survive alive at -50. Wolverine is not normal human, he is an mutant. That doesn't mean that he could resist temperatures of, let's say, -100 Celsius? He's just sturdier then we are.

His limit has yet to be established. Other animals that survive in colder temperatures also have other things going for them such as blubber and fur. Wolverine uses neither of these and yet does not freeze. There has to be something else going on, and I'm assuming it's his healing factor.

How long did Beck stay in -50 degree temp for? Was he completely naked?

About two days. And no, he was not completely naked. Who on their right mind would climb naked on top of Mt. Everest?

And Wolverine is pretty hairy...and the healing factor may compensate on the effects of freezing, like the cells slowing down, but it would not have any effect on things like flash freezing:

"Flash freezing refers to the application of supercooling in various kinds of industries whereby objects are quickly frozen by subjecting them to super low temperatures. "

From what I have seen from Iceman, he could easily attain temperatures like -100 celsius, which would instantly freeze Wolverine in block of ice.

That's where I disagree. There is evidence to suggest that Wolverine cannot freeze.

(I will have to search through my comics for more examples)

I have no found any examples to suggest that he CAN freeze.

It has happened on several occassions so it's not PIS. As a matter of fact, I think I might even consider starting a petition stating that along with his advanced senses, he has another mutant ability; the ability to withstand ridiculously cold temperatures.

You are wrong on several points.

1) Someone DID say Iceman would freeze Wolverine in a block of ice.

Those currently debating this are not.

2) Wolverine's healing factor interferes with his water content being turned into ice as evidenced by my scans. Anti-freeze has this property to a lesser degree.

That is not clear at all. Wolverine is tough enough to take cold that is external to his body, but really, who cares? Have you ever heard of the Polar Bear Club? It's a bunch of wackos that go to places like Canada in the winter to go plunging into icy cold waters for giggles. They have no super powers. Wolverine is pulling off a "feat" that nutty old men pull off all the time in the real world. 😂

3) All his cells will not be burst. They have some level of elasticity. On top of that, cells are able to heal... particularly Wolverine's. This is not debatable.

Elasticity has nothing to do with it. Ice crystals would simply destroy the cells. They're sharp...this is not debatable.

Wolverine wins in any environment where there is a severe lack of humidity. In this particular environment, the massive heat only adds to his dilema.

So long as Wolverine has water in his body, he loses. Iceman freezes the water in his body. Why can't you understand this?

You are REALLY stretching, man. He's enjoying the cold temperatures, yes. But are that anywhere near the extreme cold that Iceman can produce? Hell no.

That scene is a walk in the park compared to what Iceman could do to him. Block of solid ice. A big block, too. One that Wolverine couldn't just "break" out of. Since he can't anyway. Hell, Iceman could literally freeze the openings where his claws come out, rendering them useless until the ice eventually melts.

Wolverine can freeze. Just takes a bit more. Something Iceman is EASILY capable of doing.

OMG thay half teh wolbereene heeling faktor!!!

Sweet Mother of God....this actually reached nine pages?!

We NEED authorative action. Wolverine fanboys MUST be banned.

HAHAHHAHAHAAA

I'm sure that this has probably already been said, but antarctic or not, whereever they are, Iceman beats wolverine.

As for the evidense of wolverine not freezing in the above scans...

The water was not even frozen, so it must not have been that cold.

😆 Good point.

but...the wovberine....he has healing factor no? he win yes??

🙄

god I love you draco....your my hero from this day on....lol we should start a petition... 😈

People should really stop throwing around numbers like -100 degrees Celsius... Iceman can hit absolute zero without too much effort. -273.16 degrees Celsius, -459.67 freaking degrees farenheit. At absolute zero, all molecular motion STOPS. Wolverine would be a solid ice statue. Not encased in ice, he himself would be a solid, indescribably cold mass. Once again, Iceman does not need water from any source but Wolverine's veins to pull this off. It takes him a quarter of a second, then he teleports his consciousness back to X Mansion.

Well, technically nothing has ever hit absolute zero. I take that bit to be comic hyperbole. 😉
