Re: After 4:00pm No more teens inside Malls without a Parent.

Which I thought it was little to harsh. They claim that because of the holiday rush they have been encountering troubles with certain misbehave teens. If a teen is not with his/her parent a security officer will escort the teen outside. And not allow inside again without a parent. Here is my problem...teens are the reason why malls make money. They buy more...they frequently visit them more than adults...and cause less traffic congestion. So why restrict them?
Because of this issue it most likely be changes in other malls across the country. So, is this a good or bad thing. Or age discrimination?
It is not necessarily age discrimination moreso then it is a generalization. I knew a lot of mature 15-16 year olds that were not miscriants. But, it is a punishment for the behavior of few (or maybe not few) that are costing the rest to suffer. I dont care if I have to go to the mall with my parents. I like my parents. (Yes, teenage rebellion. I know)
But, the points you made hold validity. They do buy more, but around the holildays people are buying a lot of crap. So what does it matter? Companies are going to make money. T'is the season, WD.
The main point is that they do not want Mallrat kids cluttering up the stores.
Very good argument you got there smallville. I like that perspective on the issue.
Storm I really don't remenber what schedules but most likely is for the holiday season.

Strangely enough...Romero didn't include a large number of teen zombies in the film. 😛

This is stupid. 4 PM? The few occasions I go to the mall, I'm there until 11 or 12 PM...
I didn't know the stores in the mall stayed open that late.
I do think 4 PM is a little early for the curfew, tho. I've never been to the MOA but it seems to me that 6 PM would be a lot more reasonable. Give the kids time to shop after school.
I must admit I never saw the attraction of shopping malls - hideous decor, bad music, unpleasant people, shops selling garbage I wouldn't want to buy even if I did have the money to do so... and of course the oral sex and drugs (..............................) But maybe thats just me and Australia. We just never got the mall culture. I guess it's our loss.
Though I suddenly have a hankering for some pinball (sans oral sex, I mean, it's hard enough playing without.... damn, sounds like a bad innuendo. That wasn't intended.)

😂 Yeah, you gotta focus on flipping those flippers while all that's going on...difficult, I'd imagine...but hey, what do I know; it only happens to the guys in front of me.
Oh no....now I got that image in my mind..........ohhhhhhhhh noooo. 🙁
