Yeah, because what's a character without being over-powered.

I have always thought about Colossus kinda like the Thing I don't need them to be overpowered and I don't think it's needed to make them interesting.But to be fair I have not red a lot involving him but what I have it does not seem to fit.

I really don't mind it if it's temporary but I don't want it to be permanent I don't think it's right for Colossus and I would like to see Juggernaut back down the road putting Pete aside I feel bad for the Cain fans he was re-powered and since then they have had it pretty bad.

I've read pretty much all of Colossus' appearances (bar the Fraction stuff), and I honestly think that while he could do with being written as being more effective in combat, the character was, for the most part, fine the way he was.

I can't honestly see it lasting long, unless Cain dies or something.

He was never intended to be as powerful as he is now when he was created

Actually Superman isn't my favourite character. He's my favourite DC character. And yes, since DC owned the rights they've endeavoured to make him one of their most powerful characters. and even at his pre reboot levels, he wasn't nearly overpowered.

they didn't do that with superman. doomsday was always written to be superman's peer in strength (if not above), not the other way around.

i'd be mad if anyone bought colossus and jacked up his power levels, as i think that's unnecessary and does nothing for the character.

Eh, no. It's part of the character's make-up that he's in general the most physically mighty of the dc heroes. It's been a part of the character since DC bought him, even going back to stuff like the Fleischer cartoons. Back then, being more powerful than a locomotive was enough. Now, he has to be able to move planets.

Not making him physically powerful would be like making the Flash slow.

It's not NEARLY the same thing with Colossus.
