Mar-Vell use to kind of be the cosmic Captain America, he didn't take on people like Thanos and IIRC Drax through pure power but now it seems he's been upgraded to elite by the Phoenix.I'm kind of annoyed he one shotted Captain Britain.
Britain's still portrayed as more durable than War Machine at least...
Although in the past he has been able to punch Doom around the limbo planet though.
Mar-Vell doesn't care about past feats anymore. He's back and more pissed off than ever.
It will be funny to see him never being officially upgraded though. Just that the only thing the Phoenix power coursing through him did was revive him...
Let's hope.

Britain got a pretty large power up during MI:13 both mentally and physically but this series is ignoring all of it. If you were a big fan of Braddock, you'd be pretty pissed.
That'd make no sense, injured or not, Mar-Vell would need a huge power up to take out Thor. We know how they match up and Thor's was obviously intended to be noticeably more powerful IIRC, more in line with Thanos than Mar-Vell.
Of course the writer might just be completely ignoring all that so who knows.

I admit, that might have been too much praise for Thanos but you know how much I like the character.
Here's how Thor handles it:

Ah, he would certainly enjoy it.Thanks to silversavage on ICT for scans.
As you can see, their strategies differ greatly. Thor uses the strat of getting knocked out twice, while Thanos would rather KO Mar-Vell.
