I'm tempted to call him overpowering Simon PIS.

It is. 🙂

That actually made zero sense to me. How did a kick do more damage than that? Whatever, Phoenix Force and all that.

If it was anyone else, I would have laughed and called the feat stupid.

But it's Mar-Vell, so I don't care.

Mar-Vell rules !

His new dial goes up to 11.

Mar-Vell appears in one issue, knocks out Thor twice, tanks his best shots, and ****s everyone else up.

Beast mode.

Do I dare say he can take Superman ? 😄

I really hate they are putting Mar-Vell here because I really don't want to real a single issue of this event but I love the Mar-Vell related characters 🙁

Yes. He's not playing pattycake with people anymore. He's out for the blood.

Mar-Vell use to kind of be the cosmic Captain America, he didn't take on people like Thanos and IIRC Drax through pure power but now it seems he's been upgraded to elite by the Phoenix. Superman should be cautious.

I'm kind of annoyed he one shotted Captain Britain.

Now he's added sheer awesome might to his arsenal.

Britain's still portrayed as more durable than War Machine at least...
Although in the past he has been able to punch Doom around the limbo planet though.

Mar-Vell doesn't care about past feats anymore. He's back and more pissed off than ever.

It will be funny to see him never being officially upgraded though. Just that the only thing the Phoenix power coursing through him did was revive him...
Let's hope.

Mar-Vell always got shafted by Marvel. He was the "most cosmic hero of them all", but he always played second fiddle to people like Thor and Silver Surfer. He was vastly underrated and under appreciated.

Now, he's going to start ripping people's heads off and playing hoop with 'em.

Can we just have Mar-Vell back for good please?

No Carol.

Careful rage, your feelings are still hurt.

Britain got a pretty large power up during MI:13 both mentally and physically but this series is ignoring all of it. If you were a big fan of Braddock, you'd be pretty pissed.

That'd make no sense, injured or not, Mar-Vell would need a huge power up to take out Thor. We know how they match up and Thor's was obviously intended to be noticeably more powerful IIRC, more in line with Thanos than Mar-Vell.

Of course the writer might just be completely ignoring all that so who knows.

It's true, Superman should be cautious against a powered up Marvel. Thor wasn't and went down.

Oh you.

I admit, that might have been too much praise for Thanos but you know how much I like the character.

Here's how Thanos deals with the awesome power of Mar-Vell:

Here's how Thor handles it:

Ah, he would certainly enjoy it.

Thanks to silversavage on ICT for scans.

As you can see, their strategies differ greatly. Thor uses the strat of getting knocked out twice, while Thanos would rather KO Mar-Vell.
