I don't think anyone has a problem saying Hulk is stronger than Thor.

If he's not, what else does the big lug have going for him?

Strength is all he's got. He should be the best hero at it.

From the pattern on his feet when Thor rushed him you can tell he wasn't. The scene where Thor calls him a pain in the ass. And they were already enemies. Not like in this case where Hulk strikes his ally out of the blue. Of course Thor wasn't expecting it.

Thor should get a few moments to shine using his other power against Hulk as well though. All he does nowadays is get his ass kicked by Hulk/anyvariant

I would love to see a Hulk vs Thor using everything he got. Would be an amazing fight and a test of Hulks durability. I don't mind how they are currently writing things now though. 🙂

This is some loeb level ignorance of writer history. Only thing that would complete the scene is if odin shows up (with two eyes) and removes thors powers again so he can learn humility.

I'm not sure what you mean by making a distinction between "canon" and continuity".

Anyway its in 616 continuity. We don't know where it fits in the timeline with AvsX and other current events yet but its definitely supposed to be part of continuity.

Because it didn't happen during a fight. In real life even the toughest fighters can be taken out with a punch if they're cought off guard. And in this case Thor was like "wait, wha...?" when he got hit with the hammer. Not sure whether it was Hulk or the power of hit that turned him around but either way he didn't see it coming. Not sure what other fight you guys are talking about so can't tell if Thor cheapsotted Hulk then.

I put canon as it happened for the 616 universe while I use contunity for the moent when it happens. So this might be canon as in it happened for 616 but it doesn't belong in it's current timeline. Because obviously it can't because Thanos and Starlord are lost in a crumbled universe other stuff that happened that is canon but not really in continuty are the events Spider-Island and Ends of the World.

I think there a re more minis that are canon but can't really be placed in an exact moment in 616 timeline.

Maybe I'm misusing these terms but I always used them that way.

thor didnt expect hulk to bush him like that, if it was a 1 on 1 fight with thor ready hulk wouldnt be able to one shot him, however a surprise attack from the back can take anybody out so dont try to make as if hulk can one shot thor which isnt the case based on years and years of history
