Having said that, the Surfer "hate" is because of wasted potential. He has ridiculous abilities that writers ignore because he'd kill the storyline otherwise.

Surfer's time traveled under his own power repeatedly, he can see through time, he can re-arrange molecules on the fly, he's a confirmed planet buster, he can heal and raise the dead, etc...

I've been re-reading some of my Surfer collection and this guy is beastly.

Yes, but when he is being dishonest about his motives I will call him on it. Others have and seen through it as well.

The guy is on another level than Superman and he's nothing to Thanos.
