Finally a phucking proper reminder to the haters of the level Thanos is SUPPOSED to be on.

But given the dire situation BB was in, and who he was facing, why wouldn't he spam his most powerful attack against Thanos? It seemed like a pretty desperate situation.

I was just about to make this point. It's Thanos. BB knows what's at stake and how tough Thanos is. So him going for broke spamming his trump card makes total sense.

I consider Black Bolt a Mid-High Herald with his scream being a weapon beyond Herald level.

It was potentially fatal to Doom with the power of Galactus, the threat of it was enough to scare the shit out of a being who collected Galaxies, it overpowered that Watcher IIRC and so on.

Thanos practically no-selling it at point blank range is pretty ridiculous but this was inevitable. I called something like this happening 6 years ago. The moment the voice was treated as his only weapon, it was very likely it would go down a peg. It's obviously still ridiculously powerful but a whisper would most likely be enough to take out a High Herald. Nowadays I wouldn't be surprised if one of the big boys tanked it.

And it's not only about feats. The power of his voice and his reluctance to use it added a unique and formidable gravitas to Black Bolt. Anyways, this is just my opinion.

Hmmm I dont know about that. I dont think Thanos has had a better durability showing to be honest. BBs scream used to be a pretty fearsome thing. It powered the bomb that tore a hole in the Universe and let the many angled ones out, Reed used a constant whisper to tear a whole in reality etc. Thanos has taken some shots from Odin pretty well but pretty much all the other big stuff you might bring up - being blasted by The Beyonder/Maker, Galactus either messed him up badly or forced him to yield quick smart.

Exactly right...

There's plenty that are above the scream. Like when Thanos shrugged off the gas giant explosion to the face, or when he tanked the 2 light year radius black hole, or when he no-sold an incomplete IG's explosion that destroyed a planet point blank, etc etc.

Medusa: My husband saved his kingdom at the cost of his own life. You had him faceplanted as you ran away! A hero at a thousand paces.
Thanos: I'm sorry. I don't remember any of it.
Medusa: You don't remember?!
Thanos: For you, the day Thanos graced Attilan was the most important day of your life. But for me... it was Tuesday.

Anyone else catch the alien that had Thor kneel using some of Loki's speech from the Avengers movie? "Does this not suit you better? Is this not your natural state?"

His fights with Odin and Tyrant are, of themselves, ridiculously more impressive than the BB scream. Gungnir >>>>>> BB Scream.

I dont necessarily agree with that but this is exactly my point - you are talking about something which took Thanos to his knees. Its not like he no-sold Odin's attack when he brought out the spear. He was on his last legs.

Or no-selling the blast from a Cosmic Cube in a Guardians book from maybe 5-7 years ago. And that's just scraping the top of the barrel. His entire history includes far more.
\

Do you mean the blast from Starlord's almost totally depleted cosmic cube that left him KTFO?

Again this sort of stuff is like him begging and sputtering at Galactus' feat when G was about to turn the juice up on him - its kind of impressive (and certainly not shameful) but its not like he stood there and laughed - these attacks took him down.

Great fap material 😍

Against a f*cking Skyfather, though. The power gap between him and BB is staggering.

Did the cube KO him? Misremembered the feat maybe. I rescind that particular example.

But I fail to see how invoking Galactus in any context justifies saying BB should do better. You're better off talking about Odin...the power gap between them is at least mildly less unfathomable.

The cube didn't KO Thanos. He was still conscious and talking. But it did allow for Cosmos, Moon Dragon, & Mantis to mind-lock him, & keep him down temporarily. Plus Thanos was fresh from his resurrection and wasn't at his full power.

ENTER ETREMAX THE OMEGA!

At an early age, Extremax was said to comprehend any device by just one look.

Not only is he really old, but he's described as "omnipotent".

Once Apollo gets his energy levels full, he punches Lobo into a wall.

His ship is bigger than the moon itself. Not only that, but it's cloaking abilities are so good that the Green Lantern Corps and earth's heroes can't detect it.

As usual..
Pruneface >>>> Heralds.

That's that.

Midnighter is alive without any drugs when he is augmented.

Good point. He dies as much as he kills too. 😛
