Character Ownage

Infinity #6 was okay I guess. The fact that almost everyone predicted the events with 90% accuracy kind of stymied my excitement.

I guess Thanos got some ridiculous showings which is good for some people. I would have preferred them beating Thanos through a plot device over Thane. At least that would involve them actually having a say on the outcome.

Not sure I agree with Thanos tanking lightning better then a hammer shot but whatever.

Also, all of the Big 3 kind of looked bad and got beat up. I guess at least Thor was beat up by Thanos and didn't actually get taken out is a win compared to Hyperion/Hulk....?

So after weeks of speculation/anticipation, Banner is reduced to a mere distraction easily dispatched by Thanos' lackeys? Haha...

Overall, what a completely superfluous and anticlimactic event.

There you go Carver. Some Gladiator goodness to cheer you up.

All though these are the most important scans:

😛

Jason Aaron needs to write a Thor/Hulk fight is what I'm getting from this.

😂

Kid Gladiator is so damn awesome.

Yeah, he won me over with this issue and was interesting. I wouldn't mind him getting more appearances.

How can you look at both those encounters and not say Black Bolt actually did a better job (though doomed to fail anyway)?

Thor literally did nothing, didn't even singe Thanos' clothing. Black Bolt drew blood.

I never said he didn't do better. I said we learned nothing about the characters that we didn't know before. BB's full-on scream probably should be higher than most of Thor's attacks. I'd say only a Godblast could top it. Thor's always been considered a bit higher overall based on other attributes and powers, not on raw output alone.

Is it me or is Rogue always written as a huge *****?

^^^Meanwhile THAT happened lol

Good event. But I didn't care too much for the Builders.

👆 the event is AMAZING. Loved the fight and the Art. Marvel showed us that Thanos is FAR above Herald levels.

Love the scene where Hulk surported the weight of an entire star.

It was seriously meh. What a shitty event.

Agreed. I thought the fight was going to be epic, but it simply wasn't.

I found Infinity #6 to be more than a little disappointing.

It was more than obvious, and did not fail to fail.

The jobbing that Thor got was NOTHING compared to the jobbing that Hulk received.
Good lord. This is what Marvel has done with its greatest land brick?
Sometimes I want to pistol whip the writer when I see crap like that.

Thane is cool. But honestly, you didn't even need the last issue.
He could have just owned his dad half way through the series and saved me a nice chunk of cash.

Marvel... your events leave me feeling a resounding "Meh." Pick up the slack boys.

As for this thread:

Hulk having his power turned off before he could even throw a punch is now one of the most epic ownage scenes in the history of WTF.

Like I said... pistol whip em'. Till they learn to respect the characters that folks are forking out the bucks to read about. 😮‍💨

Oh, and Sea King returns(not in the same issue):

Marvel's last good event was Annihilation, IMO. Everything else has been crap.

Annihilation was glorious, but Spider Island was a fine event for what it was.

Constantine claims even God himself couldn't breach his barrier. Hyperbole? Maybe, but traps the Trinity of Sin. Sweet magic feat by the best.

Ah Mutants and their drama. I actually enjoyed this issue.
