Preach.
I was really hoping to see Thanos get tested a bit.
Not owned. Not even beaten. Just... pushed.
Let loose a little "Epic Gorr" Thor action. Let fly some "HotM" Hulk action.
Thor and Hulk vs. Thanos straight up? Fug-get-about-it! Fans would have gobbled that up!
Instead Thor was useless, Hulk was owned like a child, and Thanos lost to his kid in the most anti-climactic ending this side of Lost.
Meh. Much Meh.
I agree sir. Annihilation was amazing. This... this was AoU all over again. Build up, build up... let down.
Annihilation was a great arc, can't believe how many shitty big events have followed since then.
I think anything involving skyfathers should be banned from infecting any title other than Thor or, at a stretch Defenders titles.
Chaos Wars was rubbish and botched up so many things, Meh Itself needs Wikipedia to remind you it existed (and then a strong drink to help you forget how crap it was) and then The Thanos Initiative - wherein prune-face was used as a cosmic suppository - was yawn inducing and the similarly modest nonsense with the Galactus seed - the memory of which will forever be tainted by the infamous headbutt - wasn't much of an improvement ...
Basically, Marvel need to wipe the last 4-5 years from the record, Hulk needs to do that retcon punch. For the sake of all comicdom ✅.

Yup. That was a long time ago. Like 5 or 6 years ago lol.How you been?
I'm doing well my friend.
Yes, it's been a while hasn't it?
As I recall, it was back when WWHulk was still all the rage to discuss.
Back when scrabblehulk was really working the "Halls of Hulk" mojo and banging heads with Superman fans, lol.
Ah, the good old days.
I remember your old Hercules Avatar.
You had some great posts back then bro.
Marvel.com closed a few months back. Shut down their Forums and gave everyone the boot.
It's cool to see a familiar face out and about on other boards. 😄

That's good to hear. I'm in University now so busy busy.
Yup, every other thread was about World Breaker Hulk and Superboy Prime.
I remember being referred to as the DC Mark on that board because I use to stand up for Superman and his ilk so often. People on here would laugh at that nowadays. 😂
Yeah, that was fun. We use to have some really fun discussions back in the day about Hulk. I learned a lot about comics and improved my vocabulary immensely.
Oh no, that's a shame to hear, those were some really fun times. 🙁 Too bad.
Yea it is, hopefully we'll get some more old members on here and herochat.

Three of the strongest beings in the Omniverse? Smh.
1) Since when does DC have an Omniverse?
2) I can maybe understand Superman, but Superboy and Supergirl as well being three of the strongest? Well, whatever.
Is the rest of Lobdell's run any better then this? Whenever I read an issue, it's so damn hollow. Trying to be "epic" by throwing in some clever dialogue but lacking any heart. Also, Superman needs to walk the walk, not just talk the talk. I really don't want Superman to turn into one of those dudes like Gladiator.

Nope. Lobdell's run has been consistently awful.

Good lord. This is what Marvel has done with its greatest land brick?
Sometimes I want to pistol whip the writer when I see crap like that.
Meh, the ending was obviously extremely underwhelming and it was wholly unsatisfying to have the heroes essentially contribute nothing to their ultimate victory. But on the bright side, even on a not-so-good showing Hulk got to support the weight of a star.
Every cloud and all that.
Cheers.
