• In all of creation, only one Earth has successfully met and triumphed over each Incursion that has threatened it: the Earth of the heroes of the Great Society!
• Guess which Earth is on a collision course with ours?

Illuminati vs. Justice League? Should be interesting.

facepalm

That's just shameless.

As you mentioned, if King Thor chooses to fight for the Earth he will have to do battle with Galactus. How evenly matched are these characters? Is this a David vs. Goliath style battle?

King Thor is still the All-Father. He's still a pretty powerful guy, but this will certainly be the fight of his life because Galactus is determined too. He's travelled the cosmos for untold eons. He's feasted on planet after planet, but only one world in all the heavens has managed to thwart him again and again. That was Earth.

mhmm Wonder how the two match up power wise. This will definitely be interesting as Aaron's King Thor seems to be more limited then Odin or previous incarnations.

This is getting repetitive and this isn't the right thread for this discussion.

And this entire debate is moot as the healing factor IS part of Gorgon's power set.

thats the whole point. i said that without the healing factor gorgon would probably lose thats all.

Looking forward to how this ends, and how they will portray the fight. No matter what it can't be worse then the last time. I still have a feeling that Galactus will get chased of the planet (again). Again Thor losing in his own book... not going to happen imo.

On a side note: I'm a bit torn about the armor on Galactus it looks kinda cool, but those "thorns"...

Yea same. Did you read the Gorr arc? Thor losing is not a large concern for Aaron.

I like it. Galactus seems to evolved with his technology.

Hickman always loved the DC mythos.

That looks straight up awesome. Poor Tony, he's getting harassed by absurdly outdated armor lol.

I did, I quite enjoyed it actually. Liked the way the different thors was portrayed. I think that is a matter of opinion. I mean we can certainly agree on that Thor for the majority of the comics lost the battles, but in the end won the war. I sorta predict the same thing will apply here, but I'm not sure. We will have to wait and see, but yeah everything would beat HEADBUTT INC.

I like it aswell, if that particular picture didn't make Galactus look like a walking Chimney. I also quite like the art on Thor and in the comic in generel.

No matter what happens though, I expect a good read, similar to Gorr.

Yeah, it is a bit Sauron-esque, but I like it.

Nothing beats this depiction of Galactus, though:

If that cover is any indication, it looks like we'll finally get to see how Iron Man vs Superman would actually happen and how much Flash's speed really means in Marvel.

🙂

It's getting harder and harder to defend Hickman.

Anyway...

Well he's not exactly trying to hide it. /shrug

Could be fun.

The shitstorm that will ensue will not.

Makes sense. Thor can't harm Doop, but Havok wrecked him.

Oh, don't start. The damn tourney isn't even going to finish. I've given up on it. I just like pointing out inconsistencies. The Havok thing was basically Doop's worst showing ever. Trading blows with Thor is more consistent with his other showings. But if you have issue with Havok at HM, take it up in the tiers thread. My guess is you wouldn't get the support to bump him up, though I do think he's borderline.

his fight with vulcan

also: we do need a new tournament......
