Ennis has one of the best all-around track records in comics, imo. Almost everything he writes is somewhere between enjoyable and brilliant.

Exactly, I'm not a huge fan of The Boys (I think it's a bit too in your face expys, although there are still brilliant character moments throughout) but it's still entertaining.

Whereas his best (Hitman, Hellblazer, Preacher, War Stories) are up there with the best comic stories ever.

Yeah man, he really describes Superman better than half the current writers.
Batman is another one he always wrote with a bit more restraint.

Although he really seemed to dislike Kyle xD

Ditto.

Well, he only had Tommy puke on his shoes.

He basically said that Green Lantern is a stupid name and his power is stupid beyond belief. But yeah, Kyle was privileged to know Bueno.

I can forgive anything bad he's written for that Green Lantern scene.

Bueno. Bueno.

You can't mention Ennis without mentioning Punisher MAX. Now that is an absolutely superb series.

True, besides all his Vertigo and Indie stuff he basically defined Punisher for a decade.

The only thing close was Rucka's recent run (which I think is just as good, but different).

But yeah, the intestines scene from the slavers arc is probably now the most iconic Punisher scene ever. In fact that's a great/horrifying ownage scan, if anyone has it?

Stark is riding Eddie's dick and everyone on KMC treats it as a normal thing. Priceless.
iron man looks so sad 🙁

Yeah, Ennis hates Superheroes with a passion but really loves Superman. That "what an unbelievably cool guy" was what he describes Superman to his fellow writers. He really hates Lobo and Green Lantern though.

Didn't know he liked Superman

just thought he hated Superheroes in general.

He loves Superman. John McCrea has said that in an interview and he writes Superman with utmost respect in everything he writes him in.

His one and true love is the Punisher.

Yeah, He seems to like Army related stuff alot

he's also done that Battlefields book from Dynamite.

Where do the scans show them away from the cloud?

In this case only you require an excuse. I can just point at the comic instead. The scans clearly show them standing basically at ground zero with the Mindless one already pulling the trigger, we even see the first "spark" of the explosion as they rush towards him, the very next pannel shows the huge mushroom cloud that is seen from miles away. So unless they magically teleported away and then teleported back there's no other way to look at it. Clothes do things like that all the time in comics, doesn't change what's clearly shown on-panel.

In the scan itself they are not inside the cloud of smoke. Cap and the car look closer to it after they arrived. Mabye the shock wave sent them flying. The end.

It's dust that partially settled by the time it took the car to fly there from miles away. Any way we look at it they got blasted at near point blank.

Mindless One shot himself in the head, that's it. I) DBZ energy blasts far more powerful than Freeza's Death Ball or II) Molecule Man's galaxy-busting blast were focused and affecting only a single target, too...

By a blast that went the opposite direction of them.

Where are you getting this from? The blast caused the explosion and they were standing within the blasting radius. More so they were standing at the center of it.

Except you know... the huge ass explosion that covered several city blocks and evidently hit Ben, Pete and everything else. You guys can spin it and complain all you like, Pete tanked that explosion.

Collateral damage in comics, so scary 😛

But the worst thing about that scene is not that; it's Peter being totally clueless, not knowing what the UN is. It was written by Bendis, right? His Parker is always like that.
