Yeah, pretty much everything they crank out these days makes me embarrassed for them. I only read the Star Wars titles from Marvel, and JL and GL from DC, which is f*cking sad. I have never been so dissatisfied with them.
Anywho, people need to stop suckling at the Marvel/DC teet, and branch off into some Indie titles. There are SO many fantastic Indie books that just blow the big two out of the water... Unfortunately, most have a difficult time stepping out of their comfort zones. srsly

I'm not sure Rick is going to free Negan though. I'm more thinking that there is going to be a huge calamity caused by the military happening like you said but during that Negan is when Negan makes his move. But yeah I could see Rick finally dying and Carl being the one to kill Negan afterwards.
I'm still wondering how the whisperers are going to play out in this next chapter. Will they see the military and decide to preemptively strike before Rick gets his troops in order.

If the community loses Eugene, they're pretty phucked though. He's the only thing that's kept them out of the stone age thus far.
