Current series, you mean?

Yeah. Kitty Pryde especially.

Because women in comics are oversexualized with often times obscene proportions. Comic book artists got called out on it and toned it down. Whereas male bodies are drawn as the epitome of fighting physical perfection, women are little more than porn stars.

Steroid monkeys don't generally have good cardio, and yet they've been drawn like that.

Either way, what you're describing, imo, is swinging the pendulum completely the other way, instead of meeting in the middle.

No, woman shouldn't look like porn stars with giant bolt-ons. But if a character is supposed to be "pretty", then make them pretty.

I mean, you're an attractive woman. Would you not like to see other attractive women in comics?

Okay. Yes, you're right.

And what's wrong with that?

You think I read Wolverine comics because I'm a killer? No, I've gotten beaten the shit out of me, when I was young. Another time, when I woke up from a KO, I got a "rematch", sending me to an even longer sleep. Deep in sand, with mouth filled. With nobody close. Hard to get up, then. Hard to get up at all.

This is what a real life is, I guess that's your favourite story, Sin? Okay. There CAN be titles like that. Sure. Plenty of.

But we're talking about the superhero comics right here. No unpleasant reality shit here.

Do I see Wolverine/Cap/Spider-Man/Iron man/Thor suffocating, crying for help? No, not very often if at all.

But somehow women with big **** are too much for Marvel?????

Comic men are idealized and rarely look fit for fighting. More like body builders usually.

Let women look idealized too. Comics used to be equal opportunity. Now if a female character doesn't have an amy shumer type of imperfect body its sexist. Gtfo amy shumer.

Obviously something else other than comic talk is happening here.

Seriously, there's prob less than 20 male "named characters" who don't look like physically perfect. Even most glass cannons and scientist look totally ripped. You guys remember all the fuss over Barbies for setting unrealistic expectations for women? Do you remember what dolls we had to play with back in the 80s? F*cking He-Man...

Pr only seems like it.

He's waiting for the right time to strike.

I'm not ready to be ready! He needs to chill with faster than light Iceman, first.

lol wow. I was trying to make a point, but okay.

You and sin need to get a room already.

Years of flirting with no pay off.

You just wanted her to take your point.

I agree that the artists are definitely down playing their feminine traits (Carol is slowly looking more like a man FFS).

With that said, I'm not sure why Marvel is having so much trouble properly balancing the figure of a strong woman with the figure of a pretty woman. DC is actually nailing it perfectly with wonder woman, so why is it so hard for Marvel?

The more i see diversity and comics reviews the more obvious it is that its a VERY purposeful thing they're doing. Not just the bodies, but male facial structure and plain unattractive faces on women. As someone who draws, i know how difficult it is for a drawing to just "happen" a certain way you didnt intend. Intent is at the forefront the moment the pencil goes to paper.

Carol (more like Carl these days), looks absolutely disgusting

And then there's this hilarious panel:

The comic urges us to reject the sexy actress in the CM costume as if its some affront, and juxtaposes that with the real CM right next to her. lmao. Phucking terrible. They are basically asking us to ignore what our brains tell us is better.

Marvel comics is the worst in the world at what they do.

I quite like that haircut....

Although, it shouldn't matter, right?

The best nickname I heard for "her" is Carl Manvers

I actually don't mind if they want to dull the sex appeal some. But her in a body suit, cut her hair, even make her hourglass figure less pronounced.

BUT, there is a point where making her more subdued, crosses in to making her look like almost androgynous, or a feminine man. I think that's wrong.

This is the best she has looked in years.

But that's in a Japanese game, so its expected.

I like that they kept the long hair, as impractical as it might be.

Of course. The Japanese dont give a damn about all this meaningless hot air. They'll sell used panties no F's given.

Oh god, that is bad. I could live with the fact that she cut her hair and started wearing an outfit that I could legitimately see a male character wearing; but making her shoulders and face look like a man's as well as flattening her boobs to the point where here chest looks like a piece of cardboard? They crossed the line.
