I wonder why Jor-El's facial scars haven't healed under the yellow sun.
Superman's wounds and scars always heal under the Sun even if he got wounded while being powerless (e.g. while exposed to green kryptonite or red solar radiation, or while in the negative zone). Thus it shouldn't matter if Jor-El's scars were obtained before he arrived to Earth.
There's a green hue to the scars, tho. Perhaps Jor-El digs pain and has some kryptonite residue permanently implanted into his eye socket.
Also, Lightray was initially outracing Hal's peak speed(to the point where his constructs were literally crumbling as a result.) But after speaking with the ghost of his father, Hal once again exceeds the willpower parameters of his ring, and manages to catch Lightray:

Remember when a depowered SBP carved the "S" into his chest at the end of IC? The scarring never healed.
