Whether or not he can actually stop it, I have no opinion on, but that didn't seem like that's what the writer wanted to focus on. It displays him not being able to -safely- stop the moon without seriously harming it. Something completely different from not being able to stop it.

that's true. if he'd wanted to smash it, he simply could have ploughed through it at speed.

^ I think that if they could have destroyed it while it was a fair distance away, they would have done so since it was clearly endangering New Krypton. I'm pretty sure it was due to the near-relativistic bubble though.

And see... that's the thing. Superman always had tactile kinesis to prevent stuff from crumbling apart. It's how he arrested the fall of half a building in Infinite Crisis and how he lifted a pyramid into outer space in Final Crisis: Requiem.

that's more writer error than it being a case of actually having tactile telekinesis.

you can explain some of it with his bio aura, sure, but he's very different from the likes of conner.

^ Superman's been doing it for a long time. Him not being able to do it is the writer's error IMHO.

i'm not disagreeing with you. i'm just saying that to call it tactile telekinesis isn't strictly right, that's all.

^ It's the only term I've seen applied to it. But in any case, it's a power that mysteriously disappeared in New Krypton.

it's just that tactile tk implies something other than physical strength at times, is all.

it's just a low showing imo. he has them every now and then. he still has plenty of high ones to keep his average up.

Uncanny X-Men First Class 04

😂

I always crack up at that.

it kinda is though, tactile as in movement or manipulation, meaning he moves an object of substantial mass, then his tk kicks in to keep it solid under pressure and lack of sufficient support.

sentry can't do that without risking letting the void bust out.

and that's fine. i just dont want to see people saying he has tactile tk in place of his physical strength. it's more a supplement than anything else, imo.

Tactile TK is a power Superman hasn't had in ages 😐

Namora is to Ms. Marvel.........

well, i'm not saying that, all the ttk is for in my opinion is to prevent things from crumbling from the aforementioned effects, be it from flight or being lifted.

a few scans in a bit

yes, one low showing means they're weakening superman. please.

I dont think its a low showing since we dont have any kind of strength feats to back up his moon feat. We seen him pull it with the aid of people, we have even seen him have a harness on tugging the planet BUT pushing, or setting a moon back into its place, never happened.

I don't consider Infinite Crisis or Final Crisis to be ages ago:

I mean... really... you hold up half a building's weight with a grip on glass window panes? You hold up an ancient pyramid without it breaking apart? I'm not saying tactile kinesis is a substitute for strength, but there's no other explanation for these feats.

Oh... and before someone accuses me of spamming debate int he ownage thread, here's some more ownage. My two favorite Green Lanterns... but only one could win the fight:

i'd lean more towards writer error, myself.

meaning; i doubt the staff of DC thought twice [or even cared] about those events, beyond what they were *mainly* intended to depict [ie. strength feats.] if tactile TK would have also been a consideration for them, i'm sure some kind of reference would've been made/alluded to.
