How long do you think we have to wait for his upper limits for you to accept ALL showings from the fight? Do we wait until he does something good?

You really are desperate for DC to state what his upper limits are, aren't you? Which is ironic as, it being Superman, they're likely to never do such a thing.

DC's reality is a story and he's the protagonist. That's the rule.

It almost makes his feats worthless in some regards. Same way we treat Shuma Gorath, Cytorrak, Mephisto etc. in they're own dimension as opposed to a neutral setting.

If he steps out of his own story then all feats he accrued that were "story based" would be nil in another story/multiverse/cosmos etc.

One would think anyway, if we treated Superman like other characters and not royalty

But then we have the rule about neutral universes. So Scarlet Witch still has Chaos Magic to call upon, the Flash still has the Speed Force etc etc.

So to be consistent with how we treat other characters, we assume he still has his DC aura. Which can be Mxy as his protector, if you want an in universe explanation.

Aren't you referring to characters who have their own realm of power? This isn't a valid comparison or argument. Especially when the argument you make against Superman would apply to most times the hero wins.

It depends, no?

Shazam still gets his gods. Black Adam, too. Hulk has TOBA, Hal gets a magical wishing ring from a space elf civilization etc

Edit: Black Alice gets to call on other magical characters, WW gets her blessings from the gods, Strange and Doom get to call on the Vishanti and Agamotto etc....

Yeah, my interpretation is that 'gifts' - meaning, powers that are, in a sense, statically bestowed - are fine. Ie if the status quo is that Thor wields Mjolnir with enchantments from Odin, that status quo isn't disrupted by the forum.

'Divine interventions' seem different - if the power requires the active intervention of a higher being, the forum prevents that.

In Black Alice's case, she's stealing the power, so it hardly qualifies as "assistance", and I think is moot

Yeah. I think the way Mxy tells it, he's always been his guardian angel, looking out for him (BatMite doing the same for Batman, which explains his showings).

But yeah, Doom et al get to call on the higher powers all the time, consciously doing so, and the divine powers actively intervene. Spectre whines about how the Presence forsakes him all the time, Johnny Thunderbolt has his 5D imp (which is probably the best example? Maybe?), Juggernaut gets his powers on Cytorrak's whim and fancy, Hal gets his powers whenever the Guardians let him (which makes his overriding of them such a big deal)....the list goes on.

(and, I'm just being a dick about Superman/Mxy. Who cares.)

the ultimate point is that the versus forum is an inherently atheist place where gods no longer exist and prayers go unanswered

Tell that to Elric of Melnabone fans. Arioch summoning is an accepted part of his standard power set.

^ in this sense, Galan (...or Raz?) is the truest counterpart to the Presence

TITANO HAD SUPERMAN OUT COLD.

Why is Titano Oozaru-sized?

I kinda feel like the clue is in the name.
