That fight probably won't take place until the next vs, or AvX 6. But now I'm thinking there will be a rematch. Rulk and Colossus did exchange punches in AvX 5, but no one got the better of the other.

On a seperate note, I had a healthy debate with some on how I believed that it wouldn't be out of the question for characters to stop with their mission in order to continue battling the foe in front of them. I used Wolverine as one of my examples. Look no further than AvX 5 to see what I was talking about. Wolverine was about to give Hope a death blow when Cyclops blasted him. He left Hope so he could "kill" Cyclops. Now that is the Wolverine I know. His words, "kill you, Summers...".

so how many modes do the rasputin siblings have now? illyana, magik then darkchilde. Peter, Colossus, juggernaut...so now you add the pf...the last thing a hell lord and an avatar of cyttorak need are a power up.

so does the pf wipe out cyttorak? Do the powers stack? are they still more powerful then emma, namor and Scott?

Pretty sure this whole phoenix five thing doesn't last that long though....

Wolverine's got anger issues, sometimes he can't help it. And im pretty sure he didn't forget about the mission, Cyclops simply got on his way so Logan didn't have much of a choice. Also, killing Hope isnt exactly the kind of mission he'd enjoy so maybe on some level he wanted to be interrupted. He even said "i'll try". I still say Cap and Logan would never choose a pointless fight over an important task, especially if it's saving the world. Not under normal surcamstences anyway. It's been proven many times. And it's not a sign of weakness.

now that I mention demonic ways... Didnt Juggernaut got a power boost(at least in versatility) when he was Captain Universe? then some how he got depowered because he did good things? I always thought that the Power Cosmic was neither good or evil..! is this going to be colossus way out of the curse? the Phoenix force is also cosmic and is neither good or evil, let see how things go

He got the Captain Universe powers and repaired the damage he did to New York when Spidey first beat him and he had to tunnel under the East River to get out.(He got trapped in a 40-50 foot deep pit filled with quick drying cement.) Cytorrak was mad because he wasn't causing chaos and destruction, which is all he asks to those he bestows his powers upon.

I think for Cytorrak it's not so much chaos and destruction as much as it is calling glory to Cytorrak by using his powers. He told Dr Strange almost as much once. Likewise, when inhabited by Kuurth, Cain was causing a ton of damage but as with the Uni-Force - Cain was 'serving two masters' which seems to be the greatest no-no. Though, beneath Kuurth and the Uni-force they seemed to have a greater hold on Cain than merely being Juggernaut.

And you call glory to Cytorrak by using your powers; which 9/10 equals carnage and destruction.

”At some point they stop treating me like a ball they’re all trying to carry down field….and just start trying to kill each other”. Hope’s words, not mine. They then show each hero battling one on one, totally ignoring Hope and the Phoenix Force. Not until the Phoenix is upon them do they snap out of it.

On a seperate note. I'm of the opinion this will be how the Cytorrak's influence will be removed from Colossus. The power up was simply to give the X-men a brick that could match up against the Avengers many bricks. A shame really, I was really liking the Demon stage of his power up. Hopefully they can somehow keep that once the PF is removed.

Of course, Loeb is writing it. He'll probably have Rulk beat the phoenix 5 by himself....just get rid of the gem if writers will just treat him like classic Colossus. Magik going up against black widow is even more hilarious...

This time we didn't even see them fight more than opening blows, then Piotr got Phoenixefied.

I know the circumstances but Rulk still made Colossus look bad, and looking at the scans above Rulk again has his way with him. I was expecting more from Colossus being empowered as the Juggernaut on top of his own powers but it's mostly just hindered him.

The writer basically said 'Colossonaut isn't a fight for Red Hulk, let's pass him to the Thing', a couple of tiers below Red Hulk (who isn't even using his full power). The bad thing about this is, Thing giving Colossonaut a good fight. If this happens, the character is ruined. If he have to transform to beat thing, that will still look terrible for the character. He NEEDS to beat thing under his own power.
