Silver surfer vs Justice leaugue

Jun, the fact that you said it came from OWAW, tells me everything.
I remember reading that before. Too bad his willpower that changes reality, can't bring back krypton or many other people who died, and weigh on his conscience.
I don't normally disregard, or make light of canon stories, but OWAW was a Superman lovefest of std transmitting levels. I truly hate that arc.
Surfer resisted the mindgem, so thats way up there. Why do you think i always call DC the Superverse?? That story, has alot to do with its resurgence in my wordbank.

Even the Guardians have recognized Superman as the ultimate in willpower, and these guys collect the Willpower of the universe in a giant tank, lol.

If you haven't been reading the newest "Up up and away" arc, Superman has been WILLING his powers back into effect after they left him a year ago. He simply decided to have them again.

So all that means is that in a contest of wills, Superman wins off rip??
Don't buy it, especially when other characters from universes that aren't S-ccentric have feats of their own. Thats why i don't buy T-VO being the decisive factor. Too many variables.

I think Silver Surfer has the potential to take out the entire JLA team, except that the way he is written he won't do it.

If they had a crossover, they would definately make Surfer lose.

Surfer is way sensitive, holds back a lot, and would never hurt someone unless he hated them (like Thanos for example, who he even feels sorry for sometimes)

Surfer's powers are more than enough to beat the JLA, but his personality won't let him get far with it.

Surfer is too much of a softee, and I hate that he gets beaten by ppl who are so inferior to his true self.

Sorta like the whole deal with Darksied, where he has so much power and should be so much more of a threat, but he gets his ass handed to him over and over and over.....its all bad writing, it's not Darkseid or Surfer's actual faults.

I doubt it. And I'm a Surfer fan, and I think Superman is the cheesiest sh*t around, but even I doubt that Surfer can outwill Superman to an extant.

If Surfer resisted the Mind Gem, however, than yeah he could DEFINATELY resist Superman's attempts to violate his mind and will, HOWEVER, I don't think Silver Surfer can put down Superman's will either.

I don't think the battle depends on will power here

Speed stealing flash is nothing new........ SS can do that and millions of other things.

And if I remember correctly it's by stealing kinetic energy.......hmmmm SS can do that.

Thats why i think people put too much stock in T-vo. At best, i'd say a draw. Both have their feats. Thats all i wanted to get across.

it's been too long kg . . .

but no, ss isn't 'stealing' anyones speed. he's never done anything of the sort. but it's also about flash GRANTING speed to make everyone as fast as him. i'm also pretty sure t-vo can't really be resisted in the way you mean. you and i both know ss's combat speed feats are almost non-existent. could he win against the team put against him on the first page? he could get some -- still not sure how many, depends on how everyone is written -- but they would certainly take him down many times as well.

Flash doesn't even have to make everyone esle fast, Surfer is only fast in flight speed, not fighting/reflexive speeds; Thor (who doesn't have superspeed) was able to hit him, any of the leaguers whould be able to do it easily.

While I don't think Marvel characters tend to have fighting speed feats on the level of a lot of DC characters, I do think you could make the argument that the Surfer can and does react at super speeds.

The Hulk scan shows nothing. And the other scan doesn't show how SS found out gladiator's weakness (he could have been lying). In SS's history, he has never found out someone weakness by sensing it. The kryptonite issue is a no go.

Supes alone would win, since SS doesn't know the makeup of kryptonite (A name tells you nothing) and cosmic awareness only tells you where is the threat. It has been shown that SS is very resistant to energy projection but is soft as paper to concussive force. He has been Koed multiple times very quickly after a hit or two to a decent amount of concussive force. Neither can SS absorb superman's solar energy. Prove it!
A better thread would have been SS vs. Superman.
