Oh please!
Batman Begins was one of the best things to happen to the Batman-movie franchise since the the last 2 Batman flicks came out.
For one it did not have Batman as some comical sot, surrounded by villains who were even bigger comical sots. Take the other Batman movies for example (apart from the very first one, which was enjoyable): in those movies the entire thing was a big joke. Villains wearing skates and carrying hockey sticks, Arnold trying to crack jokes, incoherent plot points and ridiculous sets (oh ....and do not remind me of the costume that had NIPPLES on it).
Goodness, Batman Begins is such a huge improvement to past Batman movies that words cannot even begin to describe how. It showed Batman as how he would be in the real world, that is if there was a billionaire-magnate who spent years scouring the world for its best fighters and dedicating himself to crime fighting. The other movies had a joke dressed as a bat fighting other bigger jokes.
Now, taste is different for everyone, and it is alright for you to have not liked the movie. Fortunately you are, by far, in the minority, and the next Batman movie will follow along the lines of Batman Begins (and thankfully not the ridiculous Batman movies that came before it).
Anyways, taste is different for everyone, and you have every right to say you didn't like it (although I am curious how you would have wanted it to have been made .....something along the lines of Batman Returns/Batman Forever/Batman and Robin? It is very easy to criticize something, and far harder to make one's own creation even be at par with that which was being criticized).
Anyways, most people who watched the movie not only loved it but praised it. It was also rated highly from both a cinematic perspective as well as from adherence to the comic book (and it is very hard for a movie to do both .....that is to be a good movie by itself, as well as being good enough to make most of the comic book readers happy). There are very few movies that have managed to do that (obviously Spiderman did it perfectly). Most movies either suck in the cinematic department, or such in adherence to comic history .....and the vast majority fail in both measures. Celluloid is littered with films like DareDevil, The Hulk, Elektra .....and obviously such 'gems' (sarcasm) as Batman and Robin.
Anyways ....taste varies. However most will concur that Batman Begins was a very nice movie, that it is an improvement over the 'Batman-as-a-punline' approach of the Joel Schumacher movies, and that any future Batman movies should follow along the lines of Begins rather than any of the Schumacher trash that was made (and it was trash .....there is a reason no one wanted to finance a Batman movie after Schumacher put his mits all over the franchise ......also note that Batman Begins was rated as an 'A-' from viewers by the Box Office mojo, while Batman and Robin got a solid 'D+' from viewers).
Anyways, I'm sure there must be those out there who thought Batman and Robin was a great movie, hence it is not surprising that there are those that thought Batman Begins sucked.

well i dont know what (batman returns) was bitchin about......yea at first i had my doubts bout the new batsuit and batmobile.......but what u got to realize is that ever dirictor/writter has a diffrent veiw on the story.....so Batman Begins isnt a goth and dark like Batman/batman returns ( i did love the original 2) but thank god it wasnt as Cheezzy as the last 2 install ments( which Joal really messed up on with the pink and the color) this one wasnt that bad.......i belive the cast was perfect everyone had good chemistry, the story had a more asian twist to it. un like the origanl...... batman is supose to be a fighter the most Burton batman did was a kick and a punch. at least with this one u see him beat ppl down like batman should. idk if u watch the special feauter but the suit does make sence....since he's a fighter the suit has to be flexibal easy to move around in un like the Og batsuit. and the batmobli......eh.......i really did love the old one......but then again it comes to it goin along with everythin else.....this batmoble is more indimidating compared to the old one.....and its the "FIRST" like a prototype u never know nolen might just upgrade the design to a more sleeker batmoble were all use too..... the villians in this movie was awsome....as much as i was shoked to find out u can revive Ra's but in this type of movie when some one dies they die like real live so i like the way he milipulted it, Ra's Al Gul being a title as one dies another takes his place......so in turn he can Never really die, scarecrow did a fine job i wasnt sure how he was gonna pull off the comic book outfit......but twards the end him ridin that horse in a trech coat and his mask was very well done....he had the "headless horseman" look from sleepyhallow........i do have to agree with u Bale trys to hard with the razpy voice......but logicly iif u think about it.......would u use your real voice while u ware a suit and amask?
so I belive that the movie was awsome!
