did I miss something big from the movie? I thot Liam Neeson played the real Ras all along and Watanabe's character was just a Ubu-like character to trick Bruce...

what's this with Ras being a title that someone can earn after the original dies?

Yeah... that part kinda confused me too... was it a title, was Liam Neeson the real Ras all along? Or was there some other explanation I'm not catching?

Someone please explain!

Maybe they left it up for debate on purpose? The Lazarus Pit is like the epitome of unrealisticness, but Nolan didn't want to just totally get rid of it cause that'd piss a lot of Ra's fans off. He could have just made it unclear so that the general public can't be like "That could never happen!" or the fans couldn't be like "Where the **** was the Lazarus Pit?"

Personally, I think that Ducard was just a cover and he was Ra's all along.

well i dont know what (batman returns) was bitchin about......yea at first i had my doubts bout the new batsuit and batmobile.......but what u got to realize is that ever dirictor/writter has a diffrent veiw on the story.....so Batman Begins isnt a goth and dark like Batman/batman returns ( i did love the original 2) but thank god it wasnt as Cheezzy as the last 2 install ments( which Joal really messed up on with the pink and the color) this one wasnt that bad.......i belive the cast was perfect everyone had good chemistry, the story had a more asian twist to it. un like the origanl...... batman is supose to be a fighter the most Burton batman did was a kick and a punch. at least with this one u see him beat ppl down like batman should. idk if u watch the special feauter but the suit does make sence....since he's a fighter the suit has to be flexibal easy to move around in un like the Og batsuit. and the batmobli......eh.......i really did love the old one......but then again it comes to it goin along with everythin else.....this batmoble is more indimidating compared to the old one.....and its the "FIRST" like a prototype u never know nolen might just upgrade the design to a more sleeker batmoble were all use too..... the villians in this movie was awsome....as much as i was shoked to find out u can revive Ra's but in this type of movie when some one dies they die like real live so i like the way he milipulted it, Ra's Al Gul being a title as one dies another takes his place......so in turn he can Never really die, scarecrow did a fine job i wasnt sure how he was gonna pull off the comic book outfit......but twards the end him ridin that horse in a trech coat and his mask was very well done....he had the "headless horseman" look from sleepyhallow........i do have to agree with u Bale trys to hard with the razpy voice......but logicly iif u think about it.......would u use your real voice while u ware a suit and amask?

so I belive that the movie was awsome!

Yeah I complety agree Batman Begins is an awsome film.

See I told you Rafkins,it doesnt do a damn bit of good if I dont post because thanks to that idiot who resurrected it,people are coming by in the droves to post on it again.I am posting when its already at the VERY top so it really makes no difference if I post or not.again thanks to that idiot who resurrected this thread, this thread is going to be up here a long time because people just ignore me and knightfalls post when we tell people to not respond. 🙄

A MOD should close this thread. 😠 😠 😠

That was what I said in the beginning that this thread should be closed. Not because it is anti-Batman Begins thread or anything. But because Batman Returns was the one who created it.He just makes these threads for attention and to get reactions out of people,he has done that many times before in the past.thats why his last two threads got closed because he made them AFTER he made this thread which was plenty enough to have to dish the movie. If this was a thread made by Rafkins Warning who ALSO doesnt care for Batman Begins I would have no problem with an anti-Batman Begins thread being made by her because unlike batman returns, she at least makes reasonable posts when she criticises the film and has sound logic and reasoning behind her posts and isnt an attention seeker like this Batman Returns guy is.

thats the only reason why I agree with you why this thread should be closed because of who it was that made it and what his intentions are here.

Okay... thanks... that's what I thought, I've just heard SO many theories I was starting to doubt my first beliefs, LOL!

You wereright, I mean, most people who thoufht that dont seemm to be regulars here... which makes me doubt theyve watched BB as many times as I have!

Why would anyone not like this movie? I recently had the chance of enjoying the movie again on DVD, and it was much better the second time around. Favorite scenes included the early Bruce/Ducard training scenes. Liam was so great in these scenes. This is how I pictured the Qui-Gon role should've been acted. Then when Bruce refuses to kill the farmer was also pivotal as their mentor/protege relationship finally broke up. The first appearance of the Batman was great, as were the Rachel / Bruce relationship acts. Alfred was played perfectly by Caine, and Oldman was the best surprise of the movie. But the best was for last, when Bruce and Ducard met up again at his mansion. This remains my favorite scene. You could truly see the hurt in Ducard's eyes when he mentions that Bruce was his greatest student, and that it should be him standing by his side, and with absolute conviction we can see how and why Bruce must not. Great stuff. And then the setup for the next movie, with Batman calmly stating that he'll look into this Joker card, not having any clue as to the undeniable terror he's about to meet. Great ending.

well the tread starter of this thread is a huge fan of tim burton but he refuses to see how burton screwed up the batman movies and has a hard time dealing with it that most batman fans agree that batman begins is the one and only good batman movie.

Well... I'm a Burton fan as well and I am willing to see where Burton screwed up, and all I have to say about it is that Burton's films (although at times inaccurate) were still more amusing and fun to watch than Batman Begins... I mean you see that film more than three times and its been too much!

Just not as entertaining I'm afraid... but it is more accurate and I can totally see where everyone is coming from on the whole "Burton-bashing" when it comes to comparing BB to Burton's Batman flicks.

Wow! EXACTLY! You are SO right... and, Rafkins, Ive seen BB more than 3 times and I'll happily watch MORE!

*shakes head*

You need a life Knightfall... you need a life, LOL!

|Just finished watching it 5th time... (hey,, that includes cinema and I've had DVD since November...) and I STILL LOVE IT!

Batman Begins was not a good movie. It was boring. It did the fifth best in box office sales in the SUMMER of 2005. 1989's Batman was the top movie of that year. And that was a year with good movies, unlike 2005. Enough said.

Dude, have you even seen Batman 89? If BB was boring, how come there was at least TWICE as much action as in B89?

And BB's 4 stars, that's a good movie rating, dude

Box office sales do not reflect anything bad about a film idiot. So what if it finshed 5th. It does not make it less good. Batman Begins is an awsome film. Nuff said.
