I appreciate your offer to learn more about Buddhist beliefs and perhaps I'll learn more about the religion in the future. However I'm not out to say whether other peoples religions are true or false. That type of judgement would be opinion based inherently because religions are faith based. We cannot prove that we are right when faith is involved so calling another persons faith based beliefs inferior is arrogant indeed. Considering that your personal faith is yours alone anyway and as you stated subject to change I fail to see the superiority in anything except your self perception. As it should be, for nobody should feel inferior to anyone. It's confidence to think it and it's arrogance to say it. Not that I'm offended at all 😎 It's just that if the shoe fits put it on man! Don't say that you're not arrogant be proud of it!! Denial is ugly! 😮💨
What? No. I used to be a Christian, so I have something to compare. Also, I'm not talking about faith. I'm talking about basic philosophy of the two religions. Of course it is just my opinion, but that opinion is not based on arrogance, it is based on practical application. In everyday life, the philosophy of Christianity doesn't give you much. You have one or two great philosophies, like love and charity, but when compared to Buddhism it is lacking. Buddhism gives me tools to look at how I feel (like the ten worlds), and the power to change. For example, the main way to deal with problems in Christianity is prayer. In Buddhism, there is prayer, acceptance of responsibility, the Ten Worlds, chanting, and many more. In other words, as a Buddhist, I have more tools in my everyday tool kit, then I did when I was a Christian.
BTW you can learn these philosophies, and use them in your Christian life. They work, even outside of Buddhism.
