Well because I said you're DC bias(which you are)doesn't necassarily make me marvel bias.Matter a fact I read more DC comics then marvel so there you go.A sundipped supes would be able to beat Thanos I would think.Under normal circumstances Thanos would beat Superman simple as that.
And you're Marvel bias. Oh and bring an arguement while you're at it, instead of crying. I stand by what I say, Superman (normal) can beat Thanos. 🙂

😱 Normal supes would get crushed by Thanos any Comic reader would know that.I don't blame you for you're ignorance considering that you probably have never read a Thanos title for yourself. In a physical battle supes gets curbstomped,if he trys to use speed against Thanos he'll get downed by long range cosmic blast.
And you're Marvel bias. Oh and bring an arguement while you're at it, instead of crying. I stand by what I say, Superman (normal) can beat Thanos. 🙂
Superman has a huge speed advantage, durable enough to take what Thanos throw at him, fast enough to dodge energy blasts and can physically put him down.

WOW!!!!!!!! what a counter speed has been shown to not be such an issue in the past for Thanos. How are you gonna put someone who is way more durable down.......
And with physical force nope not happening............

Superman has a huge speed advantage (speed has been shown to be hugh against Thanos since he does have any), durable enough to take what Thanos throw at him, fast enough to dodge energy blasts and can physically put him down. 🙂
superman wins this fight in my opinion. ok thanos went through a black hole and was bloody...... as shown in a scan in this forum.. superman was in a black hole hole and was talking to some strange looking thing. the force of the black hole wasnt effecting him in any way. and that was normal superman.......................................... soo normal superman can take more punishment then thanos but thanos is was key word WAS harder to kill when he was banished from death. superman is fighting normal thanos with no prep or tec or help from death in the sun.... people please think for min... thanos is not all that powerful. Silver surfer beat thanos, normal thor beat thanos so why cant superman in the sun beat thanos?

And we know better to compare humans who obviously doesn't have powers to eternals whose full powerset at best is vague, way to go.Thanos used tech when he fought tyrant, true. It's like using a car instead of walking. It makes travelling a lot easier, doesn't mean it couldn't be done without it. not to mention the fact that the match was physically a downhill but hardfought battle for him and one could figure out it was taxing physically and probably to some factors as well.
not to mention the fact his teleporter is located in his belt. Look at the IG conclusion, you'd see it is in fact there. He'd have to reach it in order to do so.
The characters are different, the situation is the same.
By his own words, he was HELPLESS. There aren't any excuses there.
Sorry.

1. He just lost the infinity gauntlet, and his plans of universal destruction had been foiled by his own arrogance. I think I'd be a little weakened and distressed at that point. Relative to infinite power, ANYTHING feels like an eternity drifting through space.2. He fights in space all the time without tech. Against drax, runner, surfer, and numerous others. Practically half of his battles are in a vacuum, and he moves around fine. ALL of his battles are against enemies who could toss him into space to beat him, if he were that immobile.
3. You're still confusing two things: 1. what he hasn't been shown to do. 2. what he's incapable of doing. I've never seen thanos swing a baseball bat, toss or rock, or blow up a building. It's clear that these things are possible for him.
When you can teleport at will with no tech, when you have energy blasts that level cosmics, when you can turn your enemies into stone, there is no need for flying. At a bare minimum, with cosmic energy that he has, it would be simple to simple shoot in one direction and be propelled in the other. Action/reaction. The fact that he doesn't do so does not show that he can't.
Instead of writing all this about Thanos feelings, show good solid proof of the ability.
Nobody cares if Thanos supposedly mourned his "girl"..they just want good solid proof.
The rest of your "argument" is speculation.

Who said anything about his girl? I said he was weakened and moping after losing the infinity gauntlet. Is that so hard to see? "an infinity to ponder my follies and sins." I'm sure he means that literally, right?
Have you ever been sick? Multiply that by infinity, and you know the shape thanos is in after losing the ULTIMATE POWER of the universe.
Thanos has been shown fighting in vacuums and planet-destroying fights multiple times (without tech). He has cosmic energy blasts that have leveled galactus. There is zero doubt he can use cosmic energy for propulsion. This is not that hard to see, just as it's not that hard to see that he could boil water with his cosmic energy (though of course that too is not shown regularly -- I guess he'd need a bunson burner?).
Moving through space unassisted is a paltry feat for anyone who wields cosmic energy. It's like asking if an olympic sprinter "could swim " -- I've never seen Maurice Greene swim, so he must not be able to, right? Marvel rates thanos a 7 (warp speed) in its own power ratings, and anyone who can move that fast can escape the gravitational pull of a sun.
These threads are ridiculous. I have a feeling that one, or a few guys (under different aliases), are here trying to create superman hate by pitting him up against impossible odds, then making fanatical, nonsensical arguments (a million sun-dipped punches! ability to absorb galaxies exploding! cosmic energy projection!) aobut how he would win.
Just look at the comics. Thanos fights and does well against entities superman would be a bug too. He crushes enemies that would beat superman easily in 1on1 battles. Superman, on the other hand, loses while sundipped to a very strong version of iceman.
This is not that hard people. If you have to resort to odd logic or repeated, strange contradictions in comic stories, then you're making up new characters. If a group of marvel and dc writers got into a room and discussed it, I have no doubt they would all agree that thanos would win, absent some strange plot device.
That's ultimately what matters. Not people's weird obsession with irrelevant powers (speed, flight, reflexes, etc).

Exhibit A: as an example of (feigned?) fanatical devotion and fabrication-assisted argument.
Does anyone think this guy is real? I have a feeling we have a troll team here....
Why is it so hard to realiz that Thanos went toe to toe with Odin in Asgard that is so crazy Superman would get beat the same way Odin beat Drax.
Thanos
As a Titanian-Eternal, Thanos was destined to be powerful by nature. Most Eternals have some level of Superhuman strength, and the ability to manipulate cosmic energy for attack or defense. Thanos, however, was a mutant, and was born with even more potential than the average Eternal. Thanos further augmented himself after his banishment from Titan using both mystic and scientific means, increasing his already formidable might to nearly incalculable levels. Through meditation he honed and increased his latent telepathic powers, becoming a formidable psionic opponent. He also sharpened his energy manipulation abilities to great effect, even deveoping the ability to disrupt/manipulate matter.
His powers were again increased by Death when she returned him to life, giving him the might to fight such powerful beings as Tyrant, and Odin (King of Norse Gods) on nearly even ground. His body is tremendously resistant to injury, can go without food, water and even air for an indefinate period. His body is also able to withstand a total vaccum (such as in deep space), and is incredibly strong. His exact strength level is unknown, but it seems he might be as strong as or stronger than such heroes as the Hulk or Thor. His abilities to manipulate cosmic energy have been increased to a staggering degree, and he can utilize it to grant himself near-invulnerability, or to project the energy from his eyes or hands in the form of light, heat or concussive force.
However, what makes Thanos truly dangerous is his high-degrees of intelligece, cunning, and razor-sharp logic. He possesses not only the Advanced knowledge of the Titans, but also technology and skills gained from all over the Universe. He is obsessed with knowledge, as he believes that knowledge is power. Thanos is also a hightly skillled combatant, having trained himself in many different fighting-styles from throughout the universe.

Here's some more Bio :
Thanos was one of the last sons of Alars, progenitor of the second colony of Eternals of Titan, and Sui-San, the last survivor of the original settlement of Eternals on Titan. Born with grey, hide-like skin and a massive body, Thanos was a morose child who became obsessed with the concept of death. Through bionic implementation and long hours of meditation, Thanos augmented his Eternal strength and powers to that his powers surpassed those of all other Titanian Eternals. As he grew in power, Thanos also grew in ambition and desire for conquest. Thanos stole one of his people's starships and traveled to other star systems to recruit soldiers, mercenaries, and malcontents for a private army. With a small fleet he dropped nuclear devices on his home world Titan, killing thousands of his people, including his mother Sui-San. Declaring himself ruler of Titan, he then set his sights on Earth.
At some point in his adult life, Thanos met the embodiment of Death itself who, in female form, became Thanos's companion. It is probable that Death was attracted to Thanos by both his philosophical dedication to nihilism as well as his willingness to commit genocide on even his own people. Thanos began, for the first time in his life, to experience love for another being, although the being was just a manifestation of Death. To make himself worthy of so awesome an entity, Thanos decided to acquire more power. At first he planned simply to seize political power through the conquest of worlds. To this end, he amassed a huge armada of battleships. Then he found a way to amplify immeasurably his personal power. Having kept the planet Earth under surveillance since it first exploded a nuclear weapon, Thanos learned of a power-object called the Cosmic Cube brought into existence by the subversive organization, Advanced Idea Mechanics. Thanos seized control of the reality-altering device and commanded it to give him control over the universe.
Transformed into a godlike wraith by the Cosmic Cube, Thanos battled the Avengers and the Kree Captain Mar-Veil, the former of whom had already vanquished his armada. When Thanes carelessly discarded the Cube, believing falsely that he had drained it of all power, Mar-Veil struck the cube, willing it to restore the universe to what it had been. Robbed of power, Thanos reverted to mortal form in the center of the universe where his flagship Sanctuary II retrieved him under preprogrammed instructions. Revived, Thanos was dejected to discover that Death had abandoned him because of his failure. He soon formulated a plan to regain "her" affection: he would give to "her" more than any single living being had given "her," the annihilation of everything that lives. Through the minds and records of countless civilizations he searched, hoping to find the key to the power he sought. Eventually he learned of the soul-gems, six power objects of unknown origin and vast power, and set about to acquire them. He had obtained all of the soul-gems except one, the jade jewel on the head of Adam Warlock.
