* why does Cyclops' information box always changes, esp. re: his abilites? first, it only says about optic blasts... then, they added his other powers and skills like spatial awareness, mental trigonometry and expertise in some martial arts... now, it's back to optic energy beams... πŸ™

* next, it also says he has defeated Wolverine in battles with and without the use of powers... do you have scans of Cyclops owning Logan without powers? now this i got to see! πŸ™‚

I believe someone changed his powers, adding the 'spatial awareness and mental trigonometry' after the savage land scene with Emma.

Scott does indeed possess these talents, but they aren't part of his mutant ability, so someone probably changed them thinking the "Ability" category should only pertain to mutant powers.

* in earlier X-comics, Cyke already possesses spatial awareness and mental trigonometry... that's the main reason he's able to do trick shots and bank shots, ricocheting his beams to hit several targets in one blast...

* the "ability" box should not limit to mutant power alone, example Wolverine's: Regenerative healing factor, Superhuman senses, strength, stamina, agility, and reflexes, Adamantium-laced skeletal structure with retractable claws,Expert martial artist... Logan should be a complete wimp without those abilities...

* and if it's limited to mutant powers, Cyclops' main ability is to constantly absorb solar energy, and in some story arcs, he was able to absorb energy from Storm's electricity, though he was in extreme pain...

Yeah he has but its on the first page of the respect thread I think. Cyclops does use the danger room and on another ocassion Wolverine was rattled from a previous battle, so there were circumstances.

he beat an entire team of x-men that were out to kill him too... circumstances, sure, but nothing that takes away from the feat, in fact probably adds to it...

Its still impressive. I just think it would be unfair not to mention the danger room and other aspects.

How fast do Cyclop's optic beams move?

Considering he could legshoot Quicksilver, I would think of it as quite fast.

I believe his beams are supposed to be comprised of gravitons - a particle which is theorized to move at the speed of light.

Yet Wolverine dodged his blasts in origins. 😘

Come on. What DIDN'T Wolverine do in Origins? 😬

You know that Origins is shit when the writer thinks it's a good idea for Scott to scream out in fear of Wolverine when Scott's faced much deadlier, much more fearsome foes in the past without showing even a moment of fear during battle. 😘

Whats the problem now? I already stated it was impressive, why do you think I mentioned that?

Hell I posted that months ago obvoulsy you're just looking for an excuse to give me another warning.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that his optic blasts do move at lightspeed.

And yea, in Origins Wolverine was able to not only deflect a lightspeed blast with the Muramusa sword, he was also able to dodge the beams until he closed the distance on Scott. Then when Wolverine was close, Scott let out a girl-ish scream. It was horribly embarrassing as a Cyke fan and just a ridiculous excuse for writing.

Even if Scott's blasts would "only" move at bullet speed, this Wolverine feat is outrageously stupid and ridiculous even for a superhero comic book. πŸ™

* how 'bout this? πŸ˜›
