Respect: Cyclops...

And i actually posted a link several months back (in this thread as well i think) about how Scott's blasts DO move at lightspeed. As well as the one peejayd has posted (which i seem to recall someone saying was a pretty ridiculous post....dunni why), there's also one i posted up of Scott firing a blast in the Danger Room to hit the shut off switch. The commentary there clearly states his beams move at the speed of light.

It was UXM annual number 3.

Oh....i added the file with the pic of it in it...and nothing came with my previous message. Hmm. Sorry guys, you'll just have to take my word for it that there are some comics that state the blasts move at the speed of light!

* and it really is lightspeed, so it would really be PIS & CIS of Logan or Creed or anyone without speed power - dodging Cyke's blasts...

* how 'bout making Cyclops: Origins and having Logan make a girlish scream? ๐Ÿ™‚

It isn't PIS. Wolverine is faster than light. Just ask Jinzin. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Even if Scott's blasts would "only" move at bullet speed, this Wolverine feat is outrageously stupid and ridiculous even for a superhero comic book. ๐Ÿ™

thats the scan i was thinking of... i hate it, his blasts shouldnt even be able to curve like that, imo...

honestly, my opinion is, and i hate to say it, but the movies (x2 in particular), gave a pretty accurate idea of how fast his blasts are... if they truly were FTL, i think that takes his own honed reflexes and mad aiming skills out of the equation...

i'd prefer to believe that they're pretty damn fast, but added to by his own crazy accuracy...

* well, come to think of it, yeah... it should zigzag it's way through the forcefield... but the point is, it says that the blasts do travel at the speed of light...

* yeah, also in arcade game "X-men vs. SF"... but not in "Marvel vs. SF"... but i'd like to think that his reflexes and skills would be more remarkable if it's lightspeed... remember him disarming several soldiers in one shot? it was implied that they were disarmed almost simultaneously...

there was the scene in x-men 112 (i think), where he disarms a room full of soldiers by disabling their weapons, but i think thats more him having fast reflexes than his blasts moving at FTL speeds...

But wasn't it only one shot? Or are we thinking of two different instances?

* back in those days, i think the visor was controlled by the switch near Cyke's temple... then the switch was made on his hands... and with advanced technology, it became thought-controlled... ๐Ÿ™‚

i still think making them lightspeed undervalues his accuracy and reflexes, which are pretty damn impressive imo...

* uh? no more? ๐Ÿ™‚

hey just an observation, in the wwh scan where he goes max power... it leaves hulk smoking a bit... isnt it concussive and not heat based at all?

Consistency of the blast was rather long, it didn't seem to push Hulk back, but here two photo of the encounterment

This is where the Hulk was taking full blast from cyclop. The beam doesn't seem to push him back. It causes burning of flesh and background materials.

This image show scott smaller concentrated beams built up energy from Hulk thick skin

PIS.

Hulk should have been knocked back. We've seen what the "get off my lawn" blast did to that giant Sentinel (and the forest behind the sentinel).

I'm guessing Hulk weighs less than a freakin' sentinel. Sure he wouldn't be hurt but he should be knocked back from such a blast.

thats what i was like it doesn't matter how strong he is or that hes durable enough to not get hurt. the force would have knocked him back. and why the hell was it burning things?

I guess its like walking in wind you know? cuz i dont what i just wrote.

Less Mass to be propel by cyclop beams. Sentinel cover alot of scott beam. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
