Civil War X-Men was always a mixed bag for me... It had, imo, a weak story, and as a whole, i thought it was a rather poor x-men story... but i can't deny that what Cyclops did here was damn impressive... And it just shows that not even the Government, with all its resources, could predict just how powerful cyclops can be...

aye. it was also stated in the issues leading up to the battle with storm that his heart just wasn't in it. he had a wife and kid, and he wanted an out.

maddie had more influence than scott knew about, but honestly, i don't see it as a complete retcon...
