no, i'm saying give me proof that strange (without prep) can transmute someone like thor into . . . whatever you think he'll transmute him into. and i'm saying, if we use high showings, why not use low ones? strange has THOSE as well. and i'm saying strange himself has admitted he is inferior to ss and ss has admitted in the past that his power cosmic is not as powerful as thor's magic.
i guess what i'm really saying, is that this battle is much more close than your making it out to be. 😉

it's not the site, kg, it's us that are getting old . . .
it is fun to revisit some of the repeat threads occasionally though, but you're right, sometimes it does seem a bit overly repetitive. luckily we've made our own fun -- you checked out the comicbook forum recently? quite a war on -- jlakmc v kmc authority. it's been pretty damn entertaining if i do say so myself . . . 😄

Especially in raw power....he's multiples more powerful than both in raw power....maybe not strength/speed, but power output, he's most definitely above both. He's shown to be able to take both Thanos and Surfer on and hold them down before when the combined effort of Drax/Adam Warlock/Thor/Firelord/Nova couldn't.
We don't really go by character's words, we go by feats. Strange's feats put him above both Thanos and Surfer.
If we DO want to go by a character's words....then Wolverine is seriously the best there is. Wolverine>everyone. ❌

Power comes in various forms though, so unless it's very specific (i.e. strongest in weight-lifting = Hulk for example) there's probably loopholes through it.

When Thanos was after the soul gems it was stated that Thor was the most powerful of the heroes and the best chance of bringing down Thanos.
Maestro also claimed that if any one could have taken him down it would have been Thor.
But this is probably a bit of a boast as Thor has taken down far more powerful creatures. Maybe he was talking about a purely physical contest. The only hero to convincingly beat Thor in a purely physical contest is Beta Ray Bill although its unlikely that Thor was in his warrior madness where he loses all inhibitions.

Well, here is a Bloodlusted Strange against Dr. Doom. You can't really tell what he's capaible of from these two scans (Longpig posted them so maybe he has the rest of the fight?) but Strange does manage to scare Doom. How impressive that is, I guess, depends on how you think of Doom and how easily you think he gets frightened.
