Rooney hasn't scored for longer than Ronaldo I think, while we're saying that.

Yet somehow Ronaldo is now shit and Rooney is still the second coming.

-AC

But I think we can all agree Rooney did more in the thirty minutes he got than Ronaldo has done so far......and he's had two hours more football!!!

I think playing Robinho from the start would be foolish, he doesn't get much first team football for club or country, and he'd end up going off at half time, he runs at defenses so much at such an high tempo, and he would end up with exhaustion.....same as if Walcott played a full ninety

On another note......SHEVCHENKO!!!!!!

Ukraine are cruising, as I said before, they will easily qualify!!!!

Oh wake up. He did nothing, nothing of note at all. Ronaldo set up a goal, what did Rooney do besides make an appearance? Of course, making an appearance is enough for your type, isn't it? Rooney hasn't got an England goal in ages, I think Ronaldo scored more recently.

Though if that's a route you're interested in travelling. Messi came on for 15 minutes after having a worse injury and being out for longer, what did he do? Set up a goal, score a goal.

Remove yourself from Rooney before you're so deep that it requires surgery. He's a great player, but let's not kid ourselves into claiming that he's doing well, let's also not make excuses like "He's just got back", when in the same breath you're willing to act like the man is Jesus.

He's much better than Walcott though, he's also not Walcott. He's started games before and been perfectly fine. That said, I didn't say let him play a full 90, I said start him.

You also said anything can happen with Ukraine, which wasn't true. They'll maybe qualify, they won't win it.

What kind of soccer do you watch where a player cant last 90+ minutes? Reason why Robinho comes in with 15-20 minutes left for Ronaldo is because the opposing defense is tired and therefore will allow Robinho to do his work which is why they ended up scoring the second goal.

So how do lads think the English side will play against Sweden. Will they go out aggressively for the win or will they be content to play for a tie?

Hahaha.

"...and here comes Paolo Maldini collecting his millionth cap for Italy, simply because there's not that many good players."

-AC

the worse thing is Costacurta is still on the books at Milan, he's 40 now.

Spain are a goal down.

They're not that good, that's why. Their 4-0 win was against a 10 man Ukraine (wrongly, I might add), with an unjust penalty and one deflection.

Ukraine actually won today by the same amount with all their own, fair goals. Although it was Saudi Arabia, the worst team in it.

World Cup Spain have turned up to this game.

I did watch the Saudi v. Ukraine game, and man... Saudi Arabia just don't stand a CHANCE in this tournament.

well Spain are 3-1 up now AC.

At least in Serie A the old players can score unlike Fatty Ronaldo. I swore I saw two soccer balls in that Brazil vs Australia game.

Yeah. Shit penalty that was lucky to go in, a goalkeeping error and a Raul tap in, the only kind he can score nowadays.

Torres wasted so many chances. Fabregas is their best player, Joaquin is overhyped, Raul has his picture next to the term "Past it" and Torres is the new Raul for all the wrong reasons.

He's not actually out of shape though, and he's still better than most of Italy's team, who may not even go through.

even if they are penalties and tap ins and goalkeeping errors, you still need to put yourself i n the position to take advantage of them.

same applys to ronaldo you must admit

AC, you really are a small minded bigot, arn't you. Ronaldo's lost it, and so have you, if you think he's better than most of italy's players after his recent performances.

Raul's lost it, but he wears his heart on his sleeve. Unlucky Tunisia, well done spain.
