germany got further in the tournament but that wasnt the discussion. why are you starting an argument. i jokingly said i woudnt mind england hammering them again.
no more to be said.
Like in 2001? So that's three times in memory? Laughable.

germany average against costa rica, could of drawed. avergae against poland, got very lucky. beat an ecuador who rested 6 of there top players. nuff said.
They did better in that first game than England did. They dominated a lot of the play, scored three goals, two of which were great.
Average against Poland, I'll agree, but they still dominated the game while playing average. The goal was last-minute, but they worked toward it and were in no danger of losing. They played brilliantly against Ecuador and pulled out a 3-0 win, it wasn't their fault that Ecuador rested the players, nor do I believe it would have been a Germany loss or draw.

and the argentina game, they had more possesion than england, they always will, i sai dthat before. still didnt create more chances than england. it was pretty equal. sweden game dominated 2nd half yes..that was englands doing though. ask sven what he said at half time.
They evidently did create more chances considering they were infront for most of the game, they had more shots at goal. England didn't get the win until Riquelme and a few others come of. Why? Because Argentina stopped dominating possession and that's why England got the chances.

im not weasling out of nothing. korea are average. germany are a better side with more determination and with there home fans behind them, they will be tough to beat.
Their home fans don't make them a better team though, they're as good as they are. You claimed it's all "Glad we avoided the Germans" because they're the host nation and nobody wants to play a host nation. Nothing was said about Korea, so that puts your argument out of line.

how have they played better? they scraped through against poland and costa rica. and beat a 2nd string ecuador team who didnt seem at all bothered about the 3rd game. what has the past have to do with anything. the basis i have is that england have the better players and the better team. the 5-1 has nothing to do with anything. thats ancient history. its all about the now.
How did they scrape through against Costa Rica? The scoreline wasn't dramatic, but the play was. Costa Rica got one goal that was a combination of poor defending and Wanchope's pace. Germany dominated everything else and scored commanding goals, in only their first game. They didn't "struggle" against Poland, they weren't playing shit at all, but I'll admit it was average. Oh but wait, I see that when it comes to Ecuador getting thrashed 3-0 and outplayed, it's because they are 2nd string. They're a good side but they're hardly world class, they're just this tournaments surprise team.
England have got some very good players, whether or not they are better than Germany, that's debateable. However, they don't have the better team do they? No. Germany don't fall to pieces when a single defender comes off, they play as a team. England don't know where they are half the time.

if germany beat england i will say whatever the truth is. your no saint yourself. you are always coming to the defence of brazil, the ronaldo debate an example of your excuses. if england lose to ecuador than there is no excuses to be made and you wont hear me making any.
What excuses did I make for Ronaldo? "He's not fat"? He's not, he's had two bad games and he's past his prime, yes. That's all it was though, two bad games, and none of them really had a great one. In the games leading up to this World Cup he's been excellent. There are no excuses there. People are just being harsh, and the run up games prove it.

theres no feud with me. i see it in good fun. YOU are the one making out as if im got some bitter rivaly with germany. i havent. i support england because ive been bought up to support them. but i know enough to realise its only a game. im guessing you never was bought up to like football, you never joined in with the rest of the england mob. i assume also that you only have recently come to like/love the game of football even more, so supporting the home country has neve really mattered to you. understand that.
Yes, exactly. I never joined with the rest of the England mob, that's exactly right. I never did, nor did I ever want to. Ironic, it's like there's a different Deano in here than there is in the GDF. One minute you're calling everyone sheep, then you're making me out as a villain for not joining the England mob. It's not my home country either, it's 11 men from England. I don't have to support them just because they are from here. Do you support Blair? You should, you were born in the same country.
I don't care what you "assume", you're wrong. I've supported Brazil through good and bad since I tuned in to the 94 World Cup, before they even won it. I've been an Arsenal supporter since I was about 6.
You know what they say about assumptions.
