That's still a belief. You're not born thinking that, you attain that belief. Every baby born into this world is born an athiest.

but having the lack of ability to ponder the topic doesnt make you an atheist. atheism is a belief, not a lack of. its a belief that there is nothing else.
a newborn has no belief...period. its psychologically incapable of contemplating the big question.

to thus call it an atheist is like saying my car is an atheist because it doesnt believe in god. well....it really doesnt.

If you don't believe in atheism what do you believe in? Atheism is a belief in nothing, agreed, but babies don't believe in anything. So it's a belief in nothing Vs not having a belief.

It's basically the same thing. Semantics really. Beliefs are attained but believing something isn't necessarily a belief with regards to a way of life, if you get what I'm saying.

If I believe someone is telling the truth, it's not the same kind of "belief" as a religious or non religious one.

Basically everyone is born without the belief that there is a God, was my point.

You are aware it's spelled Atheism, are you not?

Atheism is the belief that no dieties exist or the lack of belief that dieties exist. We are all born atheists.

Where do I know you from Eis? Hmm...oh yeah, I remember you. You corrected someone's spelling before, only to spell something wrong whilst doing it 😉 (Athiesm/Atheism isn't worth quoting a whole post to correct, either way...edited).

You know simply accepting you were wrong isn't the worst thing you could do, you should try it some time.

Missed the latter part, clearly.

Someone who makes mistakes while correcting people shouldn't be correcting people, was my point. I also said it in a harmless way, hence the smiley. Try it some time.

Haha, there are different theories about smilies, are there not.

Anyways...stop turning this into a little war...there are plenty more people with stupid views that need challenging.

The whole time in this thread you've been making the same mistake, someone was going to point it out eventually.

In my opinion, definitely quote worthy.

The only verdict is vengeance. A vendetta.

I said, fair enough. I've witnessed you sarcastically quoting someone to correct them whilst making a much worse spelling error. Ironic, was my point.

As Bardock said, vendetta.

....I am thinking about saying that a vendetta can be a two sided sword......nah, I won't.

Why do you keep bringing that up? I made a mistake! I accept it. All you said when I corrected you was "Where do I know you from Eis? Hmm...oh yeah, I remember you. You corrected someone's spelling before, only to spell something wrong whilst doing it (Athiesm/Atheism isn't worth quoting a whole post to correct, either way...edited)."

And frankly you made your opinion on how ironic it was in the other thread perfectly clear.

Seriously, why the **** are we even talking about this? It's pathetic.

Because we all want the last word...although, obviously, I deserve it.

Well since "Brokeback Mountain" has already been a huge success and is promoting the liberal homosexual movement

When I saw this in the thread's preview thing, I knew there would be trouble.

Now, I'm trying to discern whether or not this is a troll post. If it is, good show.

8/10

If BM promotes homosexuality, then how about we ban certain TV shows, like Las Vegas? It promotes gambling. Lets ban Prison Break because it'll encourage people to break out of jail...

Lets ban kids toys, too. Lets ban remote control cars because when the kids get older they might get a real car and go for a drive and kill someone. Lets ban toy knives and guns because the kids might murder someone. Lets ban everything because everything promotes something. 🙄

I'm all for a greater single straight male to single straight female ratio.

Like I said, I'm not going to get upset if a guy says "Sorry, I want to have sex with other men, not that girl you like."
