Narrative skill vs Apparent skill argument.
This is why I try to ignore the argument of 'skill' altogether and try to try only go off of quantifiable things that comprise what people often mean when they say skill.
That is, general speed, reflexes, hand-eye-coordination, balance etc.
One would have me believe that Goku is a great fighter, going by narrative skill, but I'm positive that without his powers he would lose to many people in pure hand to hand. His techniques just constantly leave him open going by apparent skill, he's pretty much a brawler. Yet narrative skill will have you believe he's some great tactician.
