Exactly, but don't forget about his extensive teachings from Nightcrawler as well. Kurt taught him fencing and LOTS of acrobatic/agility moves.
Colossus fighting skills >>> Thing's.
Your underestimating Things skills I am afraid. Thing may not be as strong, but Peter will have to dish out allot of punishment. And I don't think it will be enough to beat Thing. We are talking about the guy that broke Champions ribs, using his SKILL, and has hit Sphinx and even stated never have I felt such pain.

Find me 1... Just 1 statement from MARVEL themselves that states that... Because I can give you many that says that Ben is ranked higher as a fighter than Colossus.
