He will hit right under .300 hit 20+ HR's in Philly he will easily drive in over 100. You lose a little power but gain more consistency.

Yeah I think he will do better in Philly too with the hitters park and less pressure because he's in a better lineup, but I just think we overpaid bigtime for him.

I wonder how much more money Boras is trying to get from Dodgers for Manny.

It's not so much the money but the length of the contract.

About 50-75 million more. He wants more than 1 year.

4 years/100 mil will get it done. Dodgers, or any team for that matter, will not give him 4 years. MAYBE 3 years, but Boras and Manny are not budging. Screw them, Dodgers should just sign Dunn for half the cost and spend the rest of the money on pitching.

He isnt getting 25 mill for 4 years. He is going to need to choose between 1 huge year or something like 3 years 60 million and thats being optimistic on his behalf. Me I would take the 25 and play in sunny LA for a year.

What I dont get is how are the Yankees not signing him? They are throwing money around like its just green paper with no value. Mine as well go for broke and bring in Manny if your gonna try to buy another title.

I mean Damon, jeter, Tex, arod, manny, Nady, Matsui, Cano, Posada. Yea please pitch to that lineup...

I'm kind if hoping the Dodgers will sign both Manny and Adam Dunn.

But hopefully they will get one of them..

The only other team interested in Manny are the Giants and their offer is 5 to 7 million less.. I hate agents like Boras

And they'll still find a way to get knocked out first round of the playoffs. 😆

I dont know their starting rotation is also pretty good now as well. Gonna be pretty hard for them to screw it up this year.

They don't need them both. Kemp and Ethier are good in CF and RF, respectively. All they need is one more OF. If Manny doesn't sign, they can go with Dunn or Abreau.

I don't see the Dodgers budging on the offer for Manny. 2yr/$45M was good. 1 yr/$25M was also. Be nice if Manny signs, if not focus on another free agent like Adam Dunn

True, but imagine if they did have both..

But hopefully soon they will sign someone

Then they would have a really good player on the bench every night which would be stupid?

According to Sports Illustrated report, Alex Rodriguez tested positive for an Anabolic steroid in 2003 called Primobolan.. I know that I'm a in the minority when I say that I am both a long time Yankee and A-Rod fan some I very disappointed, I also had hoped that A-Rod was clean since is the closest one to breaking Bonds's home run record.

A-Roid. 😆 If only there were steroids for A-Roid to perform in the Playoffs. 😆

So much for a clean HR record.

^Lol even I have to admit that was funny.

A Rod a cheat also

Oh well

To play devils advocate (which I love to do) He did not cheat. Baseball had no rule against what he was doing. The survey was done by MLB to see if they SHOULD start a program to ban and test for substances. I believe 150 or so players turned up positive in this round of testing, which is the main reason we now have the rules and testing in place that we do.
