MLB Talk

I'm surprised how there is two "conspiracies"(cant think of a better word at the moment) one would be the relationship to the Federal Government's seizure of the names and the leak of Rodriguez's name and how a high ranking member of MLB/players union(?) supposedly warned players, including Rodriguez of the testing rules that came about in 2004. I wonder if the source who leaked Rodriguez's name will release more.

A Rod is just another cheap..

I wonder how many other cheaters their are in MLB

Many more

Baseball has to share some blame also

I love A Rod's answers to Katie Couric in '07

Such a straight face

😂

I'm interested in hearing what Jose Canseco will say about this since he has implicated Arod's name in the past.

Waiting on his response as well

Again not one of the people who tested positive in that test were cheating.

I don't care whether Baseball had a rule then or not, I still consider it cheating.

Plus, A-Roid looks like more of an assh*le now. I can't wait for every stadium he visits to give him a rough time, and especially Boston.

I've never felt overmatched on the baseball field. I've always been a very strong, dominant position. And I felt that if I did my work as I've done since I was, you know, a rookie back in Seattle, I didn't have a problem competing at any level. So, no.

I'm gonna REALLY hate Yankees fans if they cheer for a known cheat the way the Giants fans cheered for Bonds. I mean, seriously.... how can you cheer for someone like that, even if he is on your team? I'd be ashamed, personally.

They cheered for Giambi and Pettitte still.

Look I dont think its a good thing that players used roids. But the bottom line is most of them broke no rules. Also we have no idea how many people were doing it. I know at one point more pitchers had been caught than hitters (granted many were small time players) The attention all goes on the big name great players but the fact is a LARGE portion of players had done this and we will never know for sure who did or who did not and for how long.

I like Buster Olney's approach to this with respect to the hof. His take is pretty much if you cant get pas the roids issue you need to not be a voter, because the bottom line is you have no idea who used or who didnt or how much it impacted anyones career.

Worng is wrong, whether or not you're caught. The guys that have gotten away with it, well, good for them. The guys who have been caught, tough luck, now they must pay.

A-Roid came out and admitted to using 'roids for three years...

I wonder who else has cheated although I am probably right on various names, but I'll wait until other names come out

To play devils advocate (which I love to do) He did not cheat. Baseball had no rule against what he was doing. The survey was done by MLB to see if they SHOULD start a program to ban and test for substances. I believe 150 or so players turned up positive in this round of testing, which is the main reason we now have the rules and testing in place that we do.

Actually, now that I think about it, he did cheat. He used banned substances. The only thing was that there was no penalty for using the substances, but it was still illegal.

Vic "The Brick" Jacobs of 570 AM KLAC is reporting that Manny will be a Dodger later this week.

Manny signed

Manny backed out

Still over deferred $

As the Manny turns

shocking manny signs a 2 year $45 million deal. Guess what the offer was months ago... thats right 2 year $45 million. Glad that was drawn out for no reason. This has been more annoying than arod.

finally he resigns, took him long enough..

now hopefully the dodgers can play well and win games and by the trade deadline get another player that would hopefully get them to the world series and win it
