Some stats backing up the fact that I think the phillies got a bigger upgrade in ibanez than people think...
"From April 1, 2006 until Oct. 1, 2008, there have only been nine -- count them, nine -- players in MLB with more RBIs than Raul Ibanez. He's had more over the past three years than Manny Ramirez, Carlos Lee or Mark Teixeira, among others. And now he goes to a Phillies team that was tied for eighth-best in the majors last year in terms of runs scored. (Seattle was 26th)."

And even better if USA had won.
Meh. I would've been more pleased to see Korea win.
The US frequently sees the "gold".
I'm half korean so it fills me with pride to see Korea succeed in competition. I'm accustom to seeing the US winning in events, thus I'm somewhat impartial when the US is involved because it's in my nature to root for the underdog.

Well Korea was the defending Olympic Champions of baseball, and USA was eliminated early in the first WBC so not sure how they are used to winning here or how they were not the underdog in this story.
I'm aware of that.
In general, the US is a juggernaut. It's not often that I get to root for Korea when it comes down to the final stretch.
